Senator Cruz was the first Republican presidential candidate to ever send someone to Pago Pago,...

Hot Damn, Cruz is on a roll!

I wonder though, did the person he sent to Pago Pago come back? Or did they get eaten?

Open borders is the agenda. I cannot wait to find out who Cruz will pick for Veep. Governor of Guam?

Do they still pronounce it “Pango Pango” or did someone correct them?

They have delegates to the convention. Every delegate counts, particularly this year when no one will come into the convention with enough to win the nomination.

I think it has something to do with the convention. There was a thread about his strategy that was on here months ago and it mentioned getting the delegates from Guam as part of it, and it had to do with convention delegates to get the nomination.

That's interesting. Where did you see a running total even before the primaries?

Supreme Court is my agenda.

Say Trump gets elected as president and he builds the wall with the Yuge door, and the political winds blow Trump back towards his liberal background. Can he be trusted to nominate conservative judges to the bench? What if he nominates as favors people he just likes but are liberal leaning?

I do not feel comfortable with that risk.

What happens with the 2nd amendment, abortion, freedom of speech, should the Supreme Court be pushed more liberal?

Currently, you have to win at least 8 primaries/caucuses to have your name placed in nomination at the convention. That includes places like Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Marianas, etc. Those are all places that a lot of the candidates ignore, but if Ted can pick up those, he can get 5 or 6 wins fairly easily.

Ted will make Guam fly-to country instead of fly-over country.

Oh yeah silly Nana...

I forgot about the delegates to the convention...

not many but its always interesting to see whom Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, USVI, and DC vote for ...

usually the most liberal of the candidates but sometimes not...

There is an obscure rule for the 2016 nomination:

“Each candidate for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states, severally, prior to the presentation of the name of that candidate for nomination.”

Before Trump started sweeping, there was a lot of talk that in as crowded of a field as it were, there might not be a clear nominee. Cruz was determined to make sure that he nailed down 8 wins to qualify for his name to go forward. The territories do count as state wins for the process, so a win on Guam would be part of his strategy.

#GuamMatters! It’s out in the middle of nowhere ready to tip over at any moment. They’re so good a picking delegates that their votes gave the Kenyan the nomination last time so how do they explain this new direction? I smell a RAT. Most likely they’re throwing in with Cruz to take away votes from Trump. When election time rolls around, Hillary will tie the Canadian up with all sorts of ineligibility suits and BINGO! the Clintons are back in the WH. Or the Kenyan cancels everything and gets his 3rd term. Either way, Cruz isn’t helping the country.

Faleomavaega, the senator for American Samoa was the “mop man” who bought up and hid records for hussein in Indonesia. Puetro Rico is begging for the US to save their sorry economic butts with a big check from the taxpayers. Yeah, those territories are doing us a lot of good.
