And it is reasoning like that, is why Salon doesn’t matter.

It is not a poll. It is a popularity contest. There no protection against vo ing multiple time, thus being open to manipulation.

Trump 65.1, Cruz 17.2, Rubio 6.7. As of a couple minutes ago.

...or is it an angry Internet-based coalition willing to vote online but not at the real polls?

I think we'll have an indication on Monday night.

Personally I think Trump would be a terrible President and would be a 'yuge' disappointment to conservatives, so I am hoping against hope that his supporters turn out to be fans and not voters.

We'll know soon enough.

There’s no “fervor” with me. Back in June and July I sized them all up, and concluded that Trump is the most serious; forsaking his empire to try and turn the Country around....using his OWN money.

None of them, including my #2 choice, Cruz, have anything to lose. The sitting politicians can go back to their cushy sinecures, and the rest pretty much have a noble metal parachute, or better.....golden, such as Carly.

Yes, Trump CAN go back to his businesses, but he’s the one who risked the most, personally. But, he’s in no danger. In fact, I’m pretty sanguine and UNfervent, that Trump’s going to run the table.

“8 ball in the left corner pocket.”

Thinking back to all those previous polls years ago that Ron Paul dominated. That worked out well for him.

You mean like how Liberals will read free online rags but will never buy the magazine?

Sorry but you can’t count on the poll/ One can vote multiple times. Its like voting in the baseball all star game.

People decide what they want to be true and then they see that reality everywhere if it is at all possible to rationalize. I have never been able to be a hyper fan of any personality for some reason. Never went screaming crazy over a singer or band or politician. Some of us are built to reach closure later rather than sooner. The sooner one goes to closure, the more the tendency to see out confirmation of the conclusion. The drive to be “right” is very compelling.

The Iowa caucus, in many ways, will be the test of what Trump has built: Does he have a coalition which will turn out to back him, or is it an angry Internet-based coalition willing to vote online but not at the real polls?

My fear for trump in iowa is that the gop will play dirty tricks. They'll cajole and/or threaten the trump supporters. Basically bribe them to caucus for anyone but Trump or Cruz and Jeb or Rubio will turn out to be the "surprise" winner in Iowa.

Oh I’m voting online for Trump alright- AZ now has online voting. I’ve been hiking the Pacific Crest Trail for the past four years. I am delaying my hike this year to ensure I vote in the primary. I am chomping at the bit to vote for McCain’s opponent- Dr Kelli Ward, in the US Senate race.

Down goes McCain! Down goes McCain! Down goes McCain!
