The GOP frontrunner talks about his love for vets—but his foundation gave far more to the Clintons over the years than any group that helps military veterans.
Donald Trump decided to ditch Thursday night’s debate to raise money for veterans instead. The only problem is the money is going directly to The Donald J. Trump Foundation—an organization that has given more to the Clintons than to the troops.
Trump’s campaign launched donaldtrumpforvets.com today in advance of his showy counter event in Iowa during the Republican debate. The site, featuring the image of a Ukrainian actor posing as a soldier, promises that “100% of your donations will go directly to Veterans needs.â€

Only in Cruztown is it acceptable to smear Trump for giving $57,000 to vets while apparently TPA Teddy has given NOTHING to them. Don’t you find it a bit odd that a man like Cruz who claims to be so pious is such a cheapskate with his own money? Although in his defense I suppose the Goldman Sachs lifestyle is not cheap to maintain.

I don’t know what Cruz has given to anything. I don’t know what his charities are. Do you? I know Trump’s claiming he’s pro Vet. Not that he was pro-vet enough to serve in the military, but more like it’s good marketing now to claim to be pro-vet. Now, the fact is that Trump, who is, as he never tires of telling us, very, very rich, gave more to the Clintons than to the Vets until recently.
It’s the TRUMP FOUNDATION. Show records - proof - that the money moved to the organizations listed because what I have read said his foundation hadn’t yet decided whom they might give money to.
But don’t pretend he’s a conservative hero. That is delusional.
Then don’t pretend Ted Cruz is one either. No “conservative hero” campaigns for Barack Obama in the U. S. Senate or rakes in cash at the sleaziest crony capitalist business on the planet, Goldman Sachs.
There is no ideal conservative in this race. Pick your candidate just don’t think there are not other candidates at their level.
