This is a shortened and edited version of FBI footage showing the joint FBI and Oregon State Police traffic stop and OSP officer-involved shooting of Robert âLaVoyâ Finicum on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
Youâll note that Finicum was shot by an Oregon State Police Trooper at relatively close range as he appeared to be reaching into his coat in a manner consistent with attempting to draw a handgun.
Flash bangs were then deployed in an effort to get the other occupants of the vehicle to surrender.

If you look closely at the video, there’s a guy in the middle of the vehicles that looks like he’s got a video camera up to his right eye, and he’s only 25 feet to the right of Finicum.
Maybe. Another scenario is that he got shot by one cop, clutched his gut, and then got shot by another cop coming out from a tactical position in the tree line.
I made it up. I know this makes you proud of me.
It just didn’t seem right they didn’t arrest him and then he was telling lies about what happened.
Iâd like to HEAR this.
You will just hear aircraft engine noise, or a quiet drone noise.
probably can’t hear
; ‘you blankety-feds,go home’ /s
Good point.
I didn't think of that.
There is no sound. 100’s of rounds could have been fired, between the initial encounter and the fatal shot at the roadblock.
The drone camera loses ‘picture’ at vital times.
When Finicum slid off into the snowbank, he hit a Swat FBI guy. To think that the FBI guys wouldn’t start shooting at the vehicle the instant that happened is beyond belief (or a miracle).
Finicum could have sustained one or two wounds, walked out of the vehicle, gotten shot again, reached into the wound, pulled one or both hands out, then reached in again, got shot for the final time.
Which would make more sense than believing that he reached into his coat , put his hands out/up again, didn’t have a weapon, then reached back in again, because he was reaching for that gun he didn’t have the first time.
He had his hands up - it's indeterminate if he grabbed at where he was shot, as you posted, or was reaching for a weapon.
I think there was a guy sitting right on top of the action with a video camera.
If that's true, that means there's audio, too.
The video of the whole episode is up at WRS

Clear case of intimidation and murder by a massive force of LEO, looks like a shot in the back after the first hit, hands up.
Then the truck was shot up vigorously.
They wanted a victim and to make an example to scare the group very badly. Buffalo gap indeed.
If that's true, there's audio, too.
I don’t know, from the very short clip above, it looks like he was being shot from the front and the back, spinning and putting his hand out - like spinning to face whoever was shooting and putting out his hand like stop. However, I’m not LE, and am partial to the guys that were stopped.
If that's true, there's audio, too.
Thank God many local and state3 don’t feel that way.
Freeper since 01/01/16, eh? I smell a troll.
No, it looks like he was gut shot by the cop behind the truck, then shot in the back by the cop coming out of the trees.
If that's true, there's audio, too.
That's not exactly true.
When he slid into the snow bank, he plowed over an FBI Swat Team dressed guy. Technically, that's assault with a deadly weapon. Not that he meant to or had any choice at that moment, but it is a 'fact' of the incident.
Watch the video, you can see him hit the guy just before the drone camera acts like it got hit by a RPG. Which brings up the question, what did happen to the camera at that critical moment ?
What is your source for this statement?
Back and to the left.
Back... and to the left.
Back...... and to the left.
Man said he'd rather die than go to jail, are you calling him a liar?
The claims of Victoria sharp that Finicum was shot while surrendering, and that more than 100 shots were fired, is an obvious lie.
The claims of LE that he was charging them is an obvious lie.
Now what?
