I’m voting for Trump...he’s the republican front runner. I’ve been called the nastiest names by Cruzers...but it’s no biggie.
Welcome to FreeRepublic. I’m voting for Trump also. I’ve been here on and off since 2001. Don’t let the CruZEROS get to you. You have just as much right to post here as anyone. Don’t allow them to shut you up. You know who likes to shut off free speech? Communists and lefties. When they try that, they are just showing their TRUE COLORS.
All I saw of it was Trump crowing that this Millionaire buddy and the other pitched a penny in the hat for vets.

I felt like I was in a room of adults here tonight and so very glad to see those who came to participate on the thread......not to mention grateful. We shared about “ALL” the candidates there which is exactly the point of the debates.....who was doing well etc.
I’m trying to be fair. There’s a “Live Stream” Trump thread with 170 posts and a “Live Thread” one with 1523 currently. Surprisingly close to what’s here. But then although those with TDS may doubt how many Trump voters will actually show up, I doubt they doubt the energy level of those who will. They have, at best, been annoyed by them way to much to not accept that. It would be interesting if FR had some easy way to count the number of unique posters participating in a thread. It might be interesting, in either direction.
Probably talking about ratings more so than interest here - that was a given.

LOlOL...that’s a good way of putting it too!....and to think I’m listening to Fox tonight without hearing his complaints nor his voice....Trumps become like Obama....nobody can stand hearing him except his followers.
If you don’t know where Cruz stands on the issues by now such that these network entertainment sessions are necessary for you, you are just showing what a low information voter you really are. Yet, you try to insult Trump supporters.
We’re not the ones that don’t know where are candidate stands.
I think Christie and Rand Paul made a bit of headway, Bush and Rubio held about even, Cruz weathered a potential storm, and Carson, Fiorina and Kasich have had their swan songs.
Trump remains Trump. He needs to be put through a more vigorous testing before New Hampshire. This Iowa process has not really done enough to provide real discernment of the candidates. The results will not be that significant two or three months from now.
Trump is a childish coward. And his absence proved it.

I concur. I too saw a comment up thread disparaging the length of this debate thread. It was certainly respectable and notably respectful. I felt like I was back on FR again! It would have been MUCH longer had Donald not provided an alternative destination. There would have been a ton of posts claiming an alternative reality to what we saw. Now, I haven’t had time to check out the Trump threads yet. I came here right from Iowa’s narrow loss to MD (I think we can take them on a neutral court and hope the Big10 tourney seeding lets us meet again in the finals. It was a great game between two excellent teams. Both teams had strong conference player of the year candidates and both were shut down by the others defense. Now to check out the Trump thread(s) and see if they, also, read like FR when their opposition isn’t there.

I think Rubio gained the most tonight. Cruz held his own. Christie continues to do well at these things. I think they all will make it through the first few primaries. The Donald hurt himself tonight by his no-show.
