I am not sure it is possible to read your post any way other than how I did.
Israel is not an issue to most American Jews. They are generally non-religious and generally urban-dwelling Yankees.
They vote exactly the same as all the other non-religious urban-dwelling, Yankees.
Religious, non-urban-dwelling, non-Yankee Jews vote like church-going Southern Baptists.
Much is made of the Jewish vote, but except in a rare Florida Clinton/Gore (or equivalent) scenario, it doesn't matter. We are ~1.7% of the electorate.
