Simply question. Why is choosing the moderators for a Presidential candidate debate more important to Fox News then having the front running Presidential candidate at the debate? Are the candidates or the Networks the focus of the debate?
That right there shows just why this whole “debate” process is totally messed up. The “Journalists” now think they are part of the story, not there to report on the event.
Yep.
They have always thought it, because it was true....until now. If debates were so important why are Hillary's debates in the middle of the night?
FWIW, for some of the more recent debates, other networks have put the grownups in charge as moderators, and there haven’t been problems.
Better question :Why does Trump as a single candidate think he can pick the moderators for a debate against a number of others?
Hillary fixed the Dem debates for her favor and the libs figured it out and now jumped to Sanders. Trump wants to be a Queen Hillary?
Trump's pretty arrogant to think that he can dictate who he wants and doesnt want to ask him questions?
Good for Cruz and Levin calling out Trump for cowardliness.
The "debates" are all about "Hahaha!! I got him on the nuclear triad question! WOOHOO!! SCORE!!!"
Why have moderators at all? This should be a debate between the candidates, not one between the candidates and the press. Let the candidates ask each other the questions. You only need one moderator to keep time. Problem solved.
Superb point. Why should Fox be dictating the conditions and terms of the debate? Given the conflict between Kelly and Trump at the first debate, why would Fox be allowed to make her presence as non-negotiable? Shouldn’t the interests of the candidates and the public come first? Kelly isn’t running for office. The RNC should have demanded that Kelly be dropped just like they removed NR from the moderator role in an upcoming debate.
