Paul on Trump's decision to boycott debate: 'Good riddance'

Washington (CNN)—Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul on Wednesday welcomed Donald Trump's announcement that he was skipping the upcoming Fox News debate, saying the "IQ of the debate went up."

"It's an improvement to the debate. The IQ of the debate went up a couple dozen points, I would say," he told Fox News Wednesday morning.

"He thinks he's already elected himself king. I say, good riddance. We're going to have a much better debate," Paul added.

Rand is looking get some Hits in on Rubio and Cruz so he can move up to 3rd place ahead of Bush. Bush? He couldn’t hit his way out of a wet paper sack.

I think this will be a good debate. It shows the strength of the RNC field (Trump being an unwelcome interloper), and with that changed dynamic, the debate is apt to be rather unpredictable.

Rand makes it look desperate and trying to get back slaps from the beltway media.

He’s saying it is good to censor Trump. Trump says some of the same things Rand does on foreign policy.

Trump beats up Cruz, Kelly and others just because Trump is a jock. He doesn’t even need to attack any of these people. He can’t help himself. Not because his polling is bad. Not because they are really evil people to attack.
