Mormon rancher LaVoy Finicum was killed during the Oregon militia standoff on January 26. He's survived by his Jeanette. Finicum was 54 years old when he died. Together he and his wife maintained a ranch in northern Arizona. The ranch was staffed and managed by the couple's 11 foster children. They were kids the couple took in, troubled kids with criminal histories. During the standoff, Finicum complained that the state had taken away the children because of his high profile role with the militia. Meanwhile on his wife, Jeanette's LinkedIn page, she lists foster care provider as her full time job.

I saw LaVoy Finicum speak on TV a couple of weeks ago. He was intelligent, thoughtful and articulated the case against tyranny very well. I said to my husband, “That guy should be running for president.”

If they can kill him, they can kill anybody. Heads shoukd roll over this and it shouldn’t be the protestors’. They didn’t block access to that building to the public and they certainly were not behaving like the Wall Street protestors. Nobody shot them. Nobody shot the thugs who tore Baltimore appart. They damn well better have had cameras recording this event or it was a clear assasination.

The drone strike in Yemen that killed a US citizen, with no due process.. Yes they can and will assassinate whomever, wherever, whenever. In another country even. Precedence.
