Dole is the RINO group-thinker willing to favor civility over principle that infests the senate. Perhaps it's the post WWII optimism after some very rough experiences? Too harmed to fight at home. Too easy to not care.
BTW, he usually flies on AFLAC's jet.

In case you haven’t noticed during Obama’s “reign”, the President holds the high cards in the deck. The dems and Congress will have to “work with” Cruz.

There are people in congress who agree with alot of what he is for, at least they say that they do.
The difference is, he has the stones to go up against the liberals in the Republican party, the Democrat party and Obama.
It is quite sad if you look at it. The Republican party in both houses have taking up the mantle..If we cannot win, why fight. If they continue with that motto, they will always loose. If they had stayed true to conservative values and truly fought Obama, things would be different right now.

So much for the "constitutional conservative" thing then ...

Dole? How does Geraldine Ferraro feel about him? Or Gary Hart? Hee Haw has literally been relevant more recently than Dole.

You're kidding, right? Gingrich used to call him the "tax collector for the welfare state." He's always been an embarrassment.

I fully honor Doles WWII service. I do likewise for Daniel Inoye. John Glenn is another who’s military career I can respect. But this imparts NO special wisdom to be a national leader.

I can bet, after this loss even his wife will divorcee him.
It wouldn’t surprise me if she did. Kinda his beard anyway.

Seeing how Bob Dull feels makes me likely to stick with my original choice, Ted Cruz.

I wonder if Bob Dole has even met Ted Cruz...and, if Bob Dole did, whether he even remembers...

Like so many Republicans, Bob Dull probably secretly wishes he could have been a Democrat all his career. Had he been, he would have never pointed out the “Democrat wars” of his 1976 exchange with Walter F. Mondale.

Cruz won't agree to what Congress wants, but they won't agree to what he wants.
Maybe that's a good thing that will keep the government from meddling, but if there's a serious crisis that requires some kind of action, we're on our own.
Plus, consider how things going to look to the public after going through the mainstream media filter -- if Cruz doesn't lose a lot of Republican seats getting to the White House, he'll lose them before he leaves.
But I guess you won't be convinced unless and until it actually happens.
