Bob Dole, the former senator from Kansas and the 1996 Republican nominee for president, made it clear in a radio interview with the Michael Smerconish Show on Monday how much he really dislikes Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
Dole said that right now he's a "Jeb Bush man," but added that he thinks Donald Trump would be a better president than Ted Cruz because Trump would make deals and compromise with Congress. Here are some of things Dole said about Cruz:
"I don't think Ted is a Republican, he's a conservative extremist."
"He uses the title Republican because there's no conservative extremist ballot."
"You can't deal with him."
"If it come downs to Cruz and Trump, I'm a big Trump supporter."
"I think the worst is Cruz because he's so conservative...way way off in right field."
"I think we would lose, senators, governors, state officers, state legislatures, members of Congress. He doesn't get along with anybody, nobody really cares for him in Congress."

BTW, he usually flies on AFLAC's jet.
In case you haven’t noticed during Obama’s “reign”, the President holds the high cards in the deck. The dems and Congress will have to “work with” Cruz.
An erection for four hours can do that to a man.

Sorry.

Dole singing back-up for the Dixie Chicks.
There are people in congress who agree with alot of what he is for, at least they say that they do.
The difference is, he has the stones to go up against the liberals in the Republican party, the Democrat party and Obama.
It is quite sad if you look at it. The Republican party in both houses have taking up the mantle..If we cannot win, why fight. If they continue with that motto, they will always loose. If they had stayed true to conservative values and truly fought Obama, things would be different right now.
So much for the "constitutional conservative" thing then ...
Thanks for the endorsement original R surrender monkey.
The GOP needs to take out the trash, including old hands like Dole.
Dole? How does Geraldine Ferraro feel about him? Or Gary Hart? Hee Haw has literally been relevant more recently than Dole.
Bobdole looks more and more like The Phantom Of The Opera every day. It’s crazy...
I fully honor Doles WWII service. I do likewise for Daniel Inoye. John Glenn is another who’s military career I can respect. But this imparts NO special wisdom to be a national leader.
“So much for the “constitutional conservative” thing then ...”
Huh? Cruz will hold them to Constitutional legislation. It will be great, huge! You should love it.
I can bet, after this loss even his wife will divorcee him.
It wouldn’t surprise me if she did. Kinda his beard anyway.
Seeing how Bob Dull feels makes me likely to stick with my original choice, Ted Cruz.
That’s the funny part of Bob Dull: he calls himself “Bob Dole.”
I wonder if Bob Dole has even met Ted Cruz...and, if Bob Dole did, whether he even remembers...
Like so many Republicans, Bob Dull probably secretly wishes he could have been a Democrat all his career. Had he been, he would have never pointed out the “Democrat wars” of his 1976 exchange with Walter F. Mondale.
Maybe that's a good thing that will keep the government from meddling, but if there's a serious crisis that requires some kind of action, we're on our own.
Plus, consider how things going to look to the public after going through the mainstream media filter -- if Cruz doesn't lose a lot of Republican seats getting to the White House, he'll lose them before he leaves.
But I guess you won't be convinced unless and until it actually happens.
