11-Year-Old Tells Teacher He Likes Trump, Gets Sick Surprise the Next Day
Conservative Tribune ^ | 1/26/2015

Posted on 01/26/2016 1:30:22 PM PST by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

An 11-year-old boy from Raleigh, North Carolina, got to see liberal hate firsthand when he expressed support for billionaire businessman Donald Trump during a class assignment.

The student, only known as "Matthew," called conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh Thursday and told him he attended a very liberal private school and one of his assignments last week was to answer the following question: "Beside Martin Luther King, who are some visionaries who are in the world?"

While others wrote down such answers like Rosa Parks and Abraham Lincoln, Matthew said he wrote down Donald Trump's name. The next day, Matthew said the teacher pulled him aside and told him to erase the comment. When he asked why she asked, "What good has he done for this world?"

Matthew said he told his teacher Trump has "created his businesses, and he's built magnificent buildings in many countries in the world, and he's actually running for president while he's actually stating his ideas."

The teacher still insisted Matthew erase his comment. The boy told Limbaugh he "got mad after that." But that wasn't the end of his problems. After that incident, Matthew said he had become target at school with schoolmates telling him, "Donald Trump's sucks and you do too."

He admitted he didn't know what to do, telling Limbaugh, "I don't exactly like backing down that much and I was kind of disturbed by that."

Limbaugh explained to Matthew that how liberals operate and that his classmates and teacher were jealous of him and they felt they could pick on him because the teacher called him out. It's shameful that a teacher, who is supposed to foster children's ideas and growth, would do such a thing to a child.

LOL at your LOL. You've mellowed the past few weeks, but you were one of the worst offenders with the insults.

Rush sent Matthew's school his school children's set of books: Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, Rush Revere and the First Patriots, Rush Revere and the American Revolution and Rush Revere and the Star Spangled Banner. That's about $50 worth of books to the school's library.

Rush Limbaugh won the Author of the Year award at the 2014 Children's Choice Book Awards for his book Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims.

If Cruz is the nominee, he’s got my vote.

Yeah, as a West Coaster, my vote hasn't mattered for...well...forever, but if Cruz is the nominee, I'd vote Cruz. If Trump is the nominee, I'd vote Trump. If Jeb is the nominee, I'd...stay home and get drunk.

I think it would be more true to blame the current EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM (controlled by government) than to blame the teachers.

The advent of UNIONS and this recent idea that we must make the 'grades' of students, and their 'experience' all equal, no matter what the truth of the situation is, is making it impossible for teachers to encourage students to learn anything.

I did not mean you personally. I’m just saying, in general, that the Trump->Cruz/Cruz->Trump insults have been a two-way street.

Jeb is toast.

He had a great strategy, but everything had to break his way.

The R field had to have all multiple candidates with low double digit support. (Trump wrecked that)

And Hillary had to be a lock from the get-go. (Burney much stronger than anticipated)

Then Dem Op Chaos could power Jeb to primary victory as they attempted to install the softest target for November.

Now Dems will be voting in their own primaries.

but you were one of the worst offenders with the insults.

I would like to point out that she was one of the FIRST MAJOR posters of these PRIMARY ELECTION THREADS, As such, she was quickly attacked repeatedly.

Maybe that's why you noticed such a 'reaction'.

"The next day, Matthew said the teacher pulled him aside and told him to erase the comment. When he asked why she asked, "What good has he done for this world?"

Imagine if the kid had responded with, "That's what they said about JESUS during the CRUCIFIXION."

(they would probably have expelled him from school)

That’s about all I see from many Trump supporters, “tribal instincts”. They decided that the guy was great early on, and no amount of evidence to the contrary can sway them.

Well, I think a certain amount fo the bitterness of Cruz supporters toward Trump's success is that they are bewildered how any Freepers would think Trump is conservative, but this is a huge disconnect. I've pointed this out on other threads: people supporting Trump are not doing that because they think he is the most conservative, or perhaps even conservative at all, in the traditional sense, but because they see him as the outsider candidate, the monkey wrench in the entrenched machinery, the bull in the establishment china shop. That's where my support comes from.

If the only "conservative" thing Trump did while in office, for example, were to secure the border and deport illegals, he would be a hero. If all he did was smash the politically correct narrative (as he is ALREADY doing) he would be a hero. That is where we are. That is how far we've fallen. And that is also why he has so much support from conservative circles - not because people think he is more conservative than Cruz. Cruz people and Trump people are talking past each other on this subject, each basing their argument on a different premise while assuming the other is using the same premise.

Heck, I was hoping it would be Trump as pres, Cruz as VP, then when Trump leaves, Cruz as pres. Cruz as VP would keep Trump from going off the rails, and we would enjoy perhaps sixteen years of White House occupants who don't despise the USA. Now, given the sniping between the two, I'm not sure it's possible.

In 2nd grade I lived in Texas.. None are immune...

In Huston yesterday they decided to prosecute the people that expose the Planned Parenthood scum that were selling baby parts. Not the sellers, but the whistle blowers. Texas is about two years away from being bluer than California.

That’s ridiculous.

I support both of them and hate to see all the rancour, which I’ve seen on the part of both sides.

And no, they are still nowhere near what liberals do.

I was thrown off the HS band for taking a stand against some anti Christian rhetoric by the band leader. God always blesses standing with Him and against fools.

FALSE. And God has and will always give me peace against haters who hate for no reason.

I always responded with Scripture to a massive amounts of “first attack” insults (”bitch, whore, ect). If you call Scripture an offense, the Bible said it would happen...

“A stone of stumbling, and a Rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the Word, as they were destined to do.” (2 Peter 2:8)

Cruz doesn’t have a “team” here, just plenty of individual Constitutionalists who are sowing seeds of truth about Trump’s public record.

The good news is FreeRepublic hasn't backed a winner since GW and debatably that was a loss.

“Y’all are seriously letting Cruz roam around in your heads. Seriously, your obssession is not healthy.”

I’ve asked several times who people would support if Trump wasn’t running and I haven’t gotten an answer yet.
