Donald Trump: I’ve always had good relationships with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid
The Washington Times ^ | 1/26/2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 01/26/2016 8:01:46 AM PST by agrarianlady

"I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi. I've never had a problem," Mr. Trump said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "[Harry] Reid's going to be gone. I always had a decent relationship with Reid, although lately obviously I haven't been dealing with him, so he'll use my name as the ultimate ... of the billionaires in terms of people you don't want."

"But I've always had a great relationship with Harry Reid," Mr. Trump said. "Frankly, if I weren't running for office, I'd be able to deal with [Pelosi], I'd be able to deal with Reid -- I'd be able to deal with anybody."

"But I think I'd be able to get along very well with Nancy Pelosi and just about everybody," he said. "Hey look, I think I'll be able to get along well with Schumer, Chuck Schumer. I was always very good with Schumer. I was close to Schumer in many ways."

Just who we need; someone spouting conservatism on the campaign while claiming friendship with two of the vilest opposers of conservatism ever..

Trump is peddling a MYTH about Tip O'Neill - this was first peddled by Chris Matthews and debunked by everyone. Yet another example of how Trump is making people gullible.

"PAT BUCHANAN: There's a lot of myth about Tip O'Neill and Ronald Reagan working together. They did not. Ronald Reagan ...

JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, HOST: You saw the pictures.

BUCHANAN: They did not. Look, in Reagan's first term, you know who he worked with? He had a Republican Senate by ten votes, and he had a Democratic House that had 40 guys in it called Blue Dog Democrats and Danny Rostenkowski of Chicago."

That stupid, smiling SOB pretend conservative.

That’s what Trump considers Regan to be, he even wrote it in his book.

I think folks in favour of Trump need to realize he’s not pro small government.

I thought so myself but am now suspecting that folks in favor of Trump realize perfectly well that he is pro moderate-big government, and they are, too -- it's just that they want the big government done their way.

Hey, folks, do you know what it means when someone says "I voted against" something?

It means they don't want to be accountable for what they actually voted FOR.

You can’t put them in the minority.

They are the entire government. The D’s and R’s next to their name are a ruse designed to make us think our vote matter, when it clearly doesn’t matter at all.

They are two groups of people in this country.

Us and Them.

That’s all there is to it.

Hmm, that would be a new one for me.

It seems like multiple (friendly to) Regan books keep making a note of their working relationship.

I haven’t read that new one by Matthews (likely wont), but cant hurt to learn something new on this.

This is the article I had in mind. I don't know how Reagan, if he was willing to get along so much, presided over so many shutdowns.

Are Pelosi, Reid, and Schumer in the majority now? Why even bring them up?""".....

That's what I was wondering, they being 2nd in command now. The veil has truly lifted.

Like electing all those supposed conservatives in 2014 has helped anyone but Obama. If we take this out of politics and into any other field, I think the person who can get along with others without compromising their goals will get along with more success than the person who inconsistently bucks others, is not well liked by his peers and then compromises on issues. (Corker bill and TPA come to mind)

I think the cognitive dissonance is finally gaining a foothold amongst DT’s most ardent center-right supporters. Their brains are screaming DANGER! CLIFF!! but then they huddle and the consensus is DT will just build them a bridge over the chasm to the next cliff.

Meet Teddy’s tax dodging hedge fund sugar daddy. Or OWNER.

That’s one of the biggest puppet masters that your sock puppet has. Tens of millions, not tens of thousands.

Maybe if Ted wins, he can get his tax fraud investigations stopped? Quid pro quo.

Keep your attorney.
