we'll have our third straight lose/lose election where most conservatives will have a candidate who doesn't truly represent their views as the GOP nominee.

That's impossible. We always choose the candidate that represents our views. We just lie to ourselves about what our views really are.

GW Bush's refusal to defend his own administration still sticks in my craw as his greatest failure and the primary reason we have Obama.

DINGDINGDING!

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner!

Trumps a fun guy and he's done good things restructuring the debate this cycle. He's bothered me little, but it's the weird messianic goofiness of many of his supporters that has disgusted me. They way they only want to shout down and rah-rah away any discussion of his myriad flaws and bad history. It's been so fanboi hero worship - behavior I always associated with the numbskulled left wing. As conservatives, I would have expected a thorough vetting and examination of his credentials, temperament and history. Instead, it's been like "shut up and leave Trump alone! Did you see the way he made fun of Jeb! He's better than Reagan! He'll win all 50 states! Black people love him too!"

Like smitten schoolgirls.

I Like Donald Trump, But I Don't Think He Can Win A General Election

One thing for sure, our nominee will love America and truly believe it is uniquely exceptional status among all nations.

Our candidate will not blame & apologize on behalf of America for all the world's problems.

But the real question for each of us is IF our preferred candidate fails. I will gladly support Ted Cruz, or Marco Rubio, OR.... Will you gladly support Trump?

I really wish that question would stop being asked. Please explain why you ask?

But, I will again give my answer.

Trump will have my vote in that scenario, when he convinces me that he will lead in accordance with the enumerated powers and, among other things, the Tenth Amendment.

The latter, of course, would require him to walk back his support of Obergfell. (Remember that?)

We don't need a minister or spiritual leader.

Well... we do.... BUT NOT as President, because that would be mixing the POWER OF RELIGION and the POWER OF STATE which is (as we have been repeatedly told) illegal.

Trump is erratic. Trump is personally vicious. As a result, Trump’s unfavorables are sky high. Trump has given campaign money to Hillary and the Democrats. If elected, he will be only slightly better than a Democrat.

It’s a good summary of the points against Trump, but not persuasive. He assumes the worst on insufficient evidence just as some Trump fans assume the best.
It’s just a collection of the author’s assumptions.
Yeah, and the “was a big fan” meme doesn’t ring true.

While it is true the Act doesn't specifically say he can't ban a religion, do you really think such an attempt would stand up in court?

It's worked so far in banning Christian immigrants.

>>> The President has authority over banning entry by citizens from specific nations, not religions.

Au contraire. USCODE-2011-title8-chap12-subchapII-partII-sec1182

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions
by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of
any aliens or of any class of aliens into the
United States would be detrimental to the interests
of the United States, he may by proclamation,
and for such period as he shall deem necessary,
suspend the entry of all aliens or any
class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants,
or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions
he may deem to be appropriate.

I modified my opinion based on later feedback.

But I still think this post has an agenda.

However the author seems sincere.

Wrong. But sincere. :D

Hope people read the whole thing & think about it.

I don’t think the “political establishment” can or will be defeated with Trump, or with any other candidate. Cruz, IMO, is the only one with the brains, morals, and perseverance to fight against it, and he will need people with like character to fight against it, “inch by inch.” But defeat it? A whole lot of people in our leadership will have to be saved by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in order for any kind of true, lasting change. May His brethren continually pray for our leaders and nation and stand up for the truth of the Word of God.

And may the God in heaven, the one and only true God, have mercy on our nation!

Sounds like a whole lot of truth regarding the Donald!

It’s difficult for Trump supporters to accept because of the emotional bond involved...

Reminds me of all those people who used to call CSPAN and say “I’m a Republican, but I’m voting for Obama”.
