Really, I blame the GOP. They lied. They were supposed to stop this. They betrayed us. If the GOP was not going to do what it said, it should have said so and we could have voted for someone else. The GOP is as disgusting as Obama.
He has accomplished his goal. We’ll just see how the rest of the ride goes.
A theory suggested here on FR was that the bad numbers were being hidden and Yellen was deciding what to do about interest rates based on the desire to hide the dismal situation until after Obama was gone, so it would be blamed on his successor. If that’s the case, then is this a deal where it’s so bad it CAN’T be hidden, or is this a case where they just stopped worrying about anything being blamed on a successor?
Maybe there’s not supposed to be a successor. Maybe Iran is supposed to hit us with an EMP before a successor can be inaugurated - like maybe in November or December when Obama plans to be in the southern hemisphere where an EMP’s effects wouldn’t reach...
