I have never, ever had anyone tell me that he had too much ammunition. Not in a combat zone, not in a civil disaster, not even in peacetime. Never. Nor have I lived through a time where our governing class was so deeply corrupt, so utterly foolish, and so dangerously focused on the perpetuation of its own power that it risked bringing down everything we have built not merely in the United States but in the entire West.
Right now, if you are watching the news, you have questions about the future. And the answer to all of them is to buy ammo.
Buying ammo is a no-lose proposition. Look, the worst thing that happens if you buy more ammo is that you have more ammo. Plus, much of our consumer ammo is made by hardworking Americans, and many of those ammo makers are located in red states where the right to keep and bear arms is celebrated and respected. So youâre helping fellow conservative Americans, which is good. And youâre infuriating people like that sanctimonious, Second Amendment-hating incompetent infesting the White House, which is great.

Speaking of ammo...I’ve always gone local but I’d sure appreciate any leads to favorite online resources.
Crap. Now I’ll have to rent a fork lift. :>)

Ammo Supply Warehouse, Pahrump, Nevada. Good prices, always has sufficient inventory, and UPS gets it to me in two days.
Lucky Gunner and Ammo To Go are my online “go to” places.
Lucky Gunner has some good deals. And check post 3 of this thread from another responder.
Or you can use a search engine like this one to compare sellers:
You’re to fast for me.
Preppers’ PING!
Average American solider on patrol carries 240rds. I have a reserve (separate from range time ammo which runs any where from equal down to a 1/3 of that amount) of just over 8 times that is reserved strictly for my battle rifle during shtf.
IMHO anyone who engages in more than 8 fire fights and/or anyone who believes that they could come threw 8 fire fights unscathed during shtf is mental, doing something wrong or both.
I have two Liberty safes, one for ammo the other for guns.
Business idea;
Enclose some Charmin with every box of ammo. Like the MRE package.
Probably not after the flood. Right?
Hell, I'd be happy to take two down before my demise. More would be better, but two helps in the long run.
I picked up an AR74 for dirt cheap and not too many 5.45x39 rounds in bulk locally.
I'm feeling pretty good about it as long as it doesn't blow up in my face.
There is no such animal as too much ammo. Or too much food.
Southeast Asia Wargames Second Place. I took standard load out once and ran out about 30 minutes into the STUFF. After that I dumped food and only carried as much ammo as I could and water.
I always found Lucky Gunner to be high.
While you can still find them, pick up a few firing assembly parts for the 74 ... a trigger and hammer spring would be the minimum to have in reserve. The 74 is usually remarkable durable.
