First of all, Ted isn't a stirring speaker.
He doesn't engender the same feelings about America, as Trump does, when he talks about this nation...you don't hear Kate Smith singing GOD BLESS AMERICA in the background, nor any of the Sousa marches, that one's imagination plays, when Trump speaks about MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
Ted is piling on the religiosity with a bulldozer and sue, I know, it's for Iowa, but come on .........
Trump always says how much he loves America and her people and he really does! Ted talks like a lawyer and uses weasel words. AND TED LIES ABOUT HIMSELF, HIS VOTES, AND HIS OWN "OOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPSIES".
Trump says "I MADE IT AND SO CAN ALL OF YOU!".
There's more, much more, but obviously you don'/t get it and my explanation won't help you understand, because you don't want to.
I think yer full of beans but so are most of the electorate
Ted's speaking prowess says nothing for his care for America just as Trump's fifth-grade speaking method says nothing about his degree of care.
He doesn't engender the same feelings about America, as Trump does
The same feelings? Seriously? That's quite an admission of liberal mindset coming from you. But nonetheless, it says nothing of his care for America.
Trump always says how much he loves America and her people and he really does!
This example of non-rational persuasion is called 'begging the question'. Trump cares for America because Trump cares for America. Of course Cruz has also iterated his love for America. Yet for some reason with you, he is not allowed the same standard given to Trump.
So again, what makes you think that Cruz does not care for America?

I know, right?
I am on the cusp of becoming a Lutheran pastor after having been a chaplain for two years. I’m about as religious as you get. And I don’t trust anyone who is so blatantly forward about their faith.
It’s like a difference between living your faith and flaunting your faith. Could probably work in virtue signalling here too.
As I said in an earlier comment, dammit Ted, I want to like you, but what’s going on? You’re making it harder and harder for me to like you!
