Word is spreading - Donald Trump supporters are outraged over his treatment by a cabal of self- appointed representatives of conservatism like Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson, among others, who utilized the National Review magazine to declare their opposition to the current GOP frontrunner in what is an unprecedented show of force by media and political establishment figures to attempt to convince voters they are incapable of making their own decision regarding who to cast their vote for.
It might very well prove to the final ingredient in a Trump tsunami once Republican primary voting is underway.

Using your rationale the students who knew Cruz at Princeton and those at Harvard are the ones we should listen to. I suggest you look at Trump’s political contributions over the past six years or so.
Actually, no, it doesn’t. It demonstrates the worship you have for Trump.
Here are Trump’s donations as per the FEC (Not the damn liberal. spin artists). The next time someone tells the lie that Trump gave more to Dems look up facts.http://mischafisher.com/donald-trumps-campaign-contributions.html

All this because Trump refuses to go on beck’s pathetic show. From now on I treat beck as the enemy.
dam as good as it gets!
When the Donald wins Iowa its all over. The forces of democracy will win.
Beck still has 7 million listeners even though he is basically a part time host.He has been over his head now with more than he can handle for a while. It’s just a matter of what he screws up next.
You are so smart!
NOT a mormon compass, which doesn’t exist. George Washington’s I hear. This is Beck’s own insanity. Leave us out of it.
GeaugaRepublican and I were having a rational discussion. No need to interject your condescension into it.
If he had done or said things at Princeton or Harvard that showed a troubling ideological past, absolutely. I was extremely concerned about Eric Holder’s college past, too. It was a long time ago, but showed troubling ideals.
But to the point being made there, if his 1999 actions and spoken words don’t reflect the man, why does his 1987 written words?
Telling me to read “The Art of the Deal” to understand who Trump is, but say other stuff he said and did from the same time or later doesn’t reflect the man is inconsistent.
So noted!
You're articulated why I don't trust Trump and why I'm voting for Cruz. Thank you!
And that’s your right. Neither of us can read minds or see the future, so the best we can do is judge based on our own reason and observations.
Just that to me, Cruz is too much into it. I’ve never met anyone who made such a big public deal about faith without either trying to manipulate people or having serious spiritual vanity.
But I don’t know his mind, so I can’t know that for sure.
If that happens, how would it be any different from the last 16 years?

My most troubling issue with his recent donations: he supported McConnell when a tea party candidate, Matt Bevin ran against him in the primary.
We wanted McConell out, remember? We gave him a majority in both houses - he said he would fight Obama if we did. He didn't. And Trump helped prevent us from telling McConnell "You're fired!".
Many FReepers were supporting Bevin. Trump fought us. Hard. With both money and social media support.
Some Trump fans here are in the dubious position of fighting for the guy that fought against them last election.
I’m wrong about Trump’s own words?
Very well stated and the level of discussion we should be having.
Go read what his classmates said. I do not believe he has changed one bit. You and others are dead wrong about Trump’s political contributions. He has given over 750K to Reps and some 250k to Dems as per the experts THE FEC.
