Natalie Maines infamously spoke her mind about war and then-President George W. Bush back in 2003, when she told a London crowd that she was âashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.â Now, the Dixie Chicks member is bringing that comment back to mind and voicing her opinion on Republican presidential candidate (and fellow Texan) Ted Cruz.

because it would destabilize the Middle East.....And Trump was wrong. What destabilized ALL of the Middle East was obama turning a won war over to the enemy to install a Caliphate with “moderates” (ISIS).

The Dixie Chicks are doing great, today I saw one of their cd’s at the dollar stores for $3.

I find it quite interesting to look at the comments over at Billboard. At least 90% of them could have been lifted straight from this thread on FR.

Seems Natalie is still a bonehead. Last time she spewed, he yap managed to crater the careers of the Dixie Chicks in the country music business.

So Cruz isn’t getting the extreme leftist femi-nazi vote? Shocking!

NC is a beautiful state. I think all states have something beautiful about them. Years ago, my daughter, grandson, granddaughter and I went on a train trip through the NW National Parks. We got on the train in Seattle and flew home from Jackson, WY. I love those states especially MT. It was as hot up there as it was in AL. People kept telling us that it never got that hot. Train travel is the very best. The company went out of business the next year. A word of advice. If you really want to do something, do it. My husband and I had planned to take that trip some day. Well, he died in 2006. He would have loved it.
It was very odd how it happened. I was on the computer one day and a voice said book that trip. I went to the site, saw the dates, called my daughter and we decided on a date right then. If we had not gone at that time, we could never have gone since GrandLuxe went out of business in 08. Listen to those quiet voices. Ok, enough sermon today!

Can’t disagree with anything you said as I worked in oncology and hospice for years. Today is all we can be certain of in this life.
I have loved this country and that is why this election is so important to me. I want to believe my grandchildren will even partially know the gift God gave us of this wonderful nation and freedom.

Is this fool aware that a majority of Texans put him in office? So possibly, a majority of Texans dislike her.

My husband died from liver cancer. He had been telling his dr for months that something was wrong with him but the dr did not listen. Finally, my daughter and I took him to UAB. His team of Drs did a simple ct scan and discovered a tumor, 5x5 in his liver. They gave him 6 months but he died in July after being told on April 5, which just happened to be our anniversary. “Yeah, happy anniversary, your husband is dying.” We all sure miss him. He was truly one of a kind. I was talking to my daughter and mentioned something our minister said at his funeral. He said he had talked to many people about him and they all said the same thing, “he was the most honest businessman they had ever met.” If he said something, it would get done. That is the way to be.

How blessed you are to have shared his life!
To: nclaurel
Everyone who knew him, was blessed. We met on July 1, 1962 in The Grill on the campus of Mississippi State University. A dorm friend asked me to walk down there so she could meet a man in one of her classes. It was DR. He called me the next day to see if I would go with him and another couple to the lake on the 4th. Of course I said sure. Never will forget that day. I got so sunburned that he said I looked like I was walking on egg shells. I felt like it, too. Had never been so sunburned. We got married a couple of years later. He was one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. We went to TX years ago. He went on business and we met another couple who were State friends. GC told us about a class he had with DR. The professor was going down his role, telling each how many classes they had missed and their grade. When he got to DR, he looked at him and said, “you have missed so many classes but it dies not matter since you have the highest grade in class. It was not easy courses either since he majored in Physics. He also had a lot of common sense. He never studies.
A few years after we moved here, he started work on his Masters Degree at UAH but he soon quit. He said I am not paying money for things I already know. He added, “ I could have taught that class!” : )
