If the answers to the above are all No, then they’re probably fine keeping the name. If any of the answers are Yes and/or they think he’ll try to swoop back in with any of the 9-12 Patriot groups again, then I’d change the name to disassociate myself and my group with him.

I would make one slight correction to what you said: I believe it was one of Cruz’s staffers that came out about Trump/Palin; and, at least from what I’ve seen/read, Cruz was more gentlemanly.
