Donald Trump Floats Ted Cruz Eligibility Lawsuit

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump reportedly said he might file a lawsuit over fellow GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’s (R-TX) eligibility to be President of the United States.

“I’ve said Ted has a lot of problems — number one, Canada. He could run for the Prime Minister of Canada and I wouldn’t even complain because he was born in Canada,” Trump said during a campaign event in Iowa. “The Democrats are going to sue if he ever got the nomination within two days. There have already been two lawsuits filed, but they don’t have standing. I have standing to sue. Can you imagine if I did it? Should I do it just for fun?”

Trump said he was confident he would defeat Cruz and win the Republican nomination, so he doesn’t need to file the lawsuit.

Cruz and his supporters have basically put us in the position of either having to accept that a man born of a foreign father in a foreign land is a NBC (which is unacceptable) or suing and then having the SCOTUS establish once and for all that anyone born in the country under any cirumstances is a NBC (which is equally unacceptable). I think it's best if Cruz just goes away.

Trump is smart enough to know this is a non-issue and that any suit, by anyone, will be tossed out before the ink on the filing check has dried.

Trump also knows a large percentage of those he may be supported by are not smart enough to know that this is indeed a settle matter.

Trump has run a large amount of his campaigning by inference and innuendo. Certainly not a very straight forward way to honorably present one’s self for election as President.

Born in Kenya = Natural born Kenya...and not natural born American and not eligible to be US President....

So unless the right wing Birther say the same on Cruz....that

The right wing Cruz supports are see as liars and hypocrites for not applying the same rules to Cruz as Obama.....

This is not my first rodeo, I know how elections work. The candidates level of support is easy to glean by observing level of excitement generated, crowd sizes and polling trends. All these clearly are working in Trumps favor to a degree I have never seen before. The 4x Trump support I referenced in regards to cruz's fall is actually being generous to cruz in the face the desperation he has been exhibiting.
