From one pissed off American to another..

I have been voting in presidential elections since 1976,
and this is the most interesting election cycle I have ever seen.

We witnessed history in 1980, and I cannot help but think
that we may be witnessing history again.

This cycle has the potential to be the perfect storm.

My gut tells me the same thing. The first election I ever paid attention to was in 1960. I was only a wee lad, but I remember that the contest captured the whole nation's attention.

The same was true for 1968 and 1972, when I finally cast my first vote.

As you say, the 1980 election was even more dramatic that those of the prior 20 years. What unfolded over the next eight years was nothing short of the rebirth of the American Promise.

I'm guardedly optimistic (in my old age), but I'm getting a similar feeling as what I had in 1980. I feel that something wonderful is coming.
