Trump is at the top of the polls, and that may not change. Nevertheless, he will not receive my support. I am rather tired of a screeching establishment requiring that we support whomever is the current frontunner, and telling us we need to "get in line", like robots. That kind of talk is groupthink, much like Obamamania. It has no place in conservatism.
Trump is the kind of candidate who appeals to base emotions and the thirst for popular appeal. We should never treat candidates as celebrities. But increasingly, we do. I once thought that those on our side of the aisle were better than liberals in that we don't vote based on mindless, superficial reasons that got the similarly resume-challenged disaster known as Barack Obama into office. But unsurprisingly, we're just as capable of the same failure to treat the election process seriously.

Should these become my only two options, I'll likely skip the presidential vote and focus on the down ballot.
Well, bye.
Pain is voting for GOP majorities in house and senate and getting
nothing in return for it.
Time to try something different. Much different.
Screw you!
If Trump hadn’t run, RedState and others would be telling us we need to hold our nose again for Christie/Jeb/Kasich/Huckabee/Fiorina/Rubio (Cruz would have been destroyed).
IATZ
I wont go that far, but i respect it and i have some concerns about the Donald’s state of mind.
Hopefully he is just unfiltered and some of the more out there things he has said are nothing to fret.

The “Trump is the establishment” meme must have sounded good during the media coordination meeting at least, because. It reeks of sheer retardation in comparison to reality.
It’s like Jeb Bush just magically never existed, and Trump wasn’t the one that knocked him flat.
Well how much worse can Trump be? Look at what all the politicians from the past
haav brought us. Our choices haven’t exaclty been stellar, imo. Maybe someone other
than a lifetime political hack can make some changes.
I won’t. The opportunity to vote against Hillary Clinton will be savored. Unfortunately, there is a possibility she won’t be their candidate.
Red State wants Bush or Rubio, and you’re helping them.
Maybe you two can vote for Michael Bloomberg.
Could NOT agree more.
This is an utter, and complete, disaster.
No matter whom is our candidate, they will get my vote.
If you do not agree, then you are a fool.
Ha!
Time to unleash the Zot God!
Honestly, that site has two functions: Bash Trump & Defend Cruz.
With comments like:
You've been had and the snake-oil salesman that tricked you did it so well he can tell you to your face that you're a sucker and you'll still vote for him.
Does RedState think they will be successful in the slightest on changing opinions?
They are just smear merchants.
Thank you Jim
Is the right wing media as afraid of Trump as mainstream.
Red State I can see, they got in a lot of trouble. American Thinker puzzles me but mostly anti-Trump these days, obviously National Review, Rush pro-Cruz trending toward anti-Trump, most of Fox, etc.
These are all people who should put their personal feelings aside and report the race, support Republicans. Hannity is the only one I see doing that.
Thanks boss.
