In an interview for the inaugural installment of @katiecouric, the new Web show hosted by Katie Couric, Glenn Beck said that he thinks "John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama."
Beck, the Fox News personality, radio host and author, also said that he may have voted for Hillary Clinton over McCain had Clinton been the Democratic nominee in 2008.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, I think I would have much preferred her as president and may have voted for her against John McCain," Beck told Couric.

I went to the link. He said he hated about ten of the 3000 or so families.
Your quote seems to be massively out of context, misleading, and unfair to GB and to the readers at FreeRepublic.
Yea, because 'hating' only 10 families makes it soooo much better.
/sarc
Why hate any of them?
There are much worse things in this world to hate than some 9/11 families who may annoy you for whatever reason.
The article is from 2009. I guess it was posted because Beck is in a twitter war with Trump, saying that Trump probably voted for Obama. In 2009, Obama was still in the honeymoon stage and there was a lot of spite against McCain for losing.
Yup. McCain is worse than Obama; but Beck is worse than McCain; ergo . . .
That's quite enough hate right there, thank you. What is today, Saturday? The dude is still nuts and there are those who suspect he's having substance issues again because of some of the crazy stuff he says, although we have no way of knowing for sure...
If McCain had been President, the dems would've kept his crazy war-wongering somewhat in control. With Obama, McCain got his wish to blow up the Mideast and let ISIS evolve and take control.
McCain would've been bad. But nowhere to the degree that Obama has been.
I’ve thought he was unhinged for awhile-crying, hinting at big secrets he had access to, conspiracy theories and all that whenever he was a guest on one of the nighttime Fox shows. I didn’t watch the show he had on Fox, but one of my friends said he started talking about strange stuff and got cancelled...
Yes in no way do I think McCain would have been great but he was not out to deliberately destroy the US economic structure in order to usher in Communism. And make war on Christians.

For starters, this audio is from years ago. What was the context? I dimly remember that a few families were prominently shown on TV complaining that America was unjust and that they deserved more compensation. It was annoying.
Context is everything, and we are not getting it here.
I like your tagline.
I voted for McCain over Obama.
Sad to say, but the press picked off every conservative front-runner until we were only left with McCain. Too many of us at FR got in on the act of bashing every candidate who was not our preferred candidate.
The press is trying to do it again. Again, many of us at FR are playing their game.
I only voted for him because of Palin.
Anyone who pretends to be something they’re not is dangerous. Same can be said for a trump.
He’s become deranged in the last few years..
you called it right——Beck has lost something in the last few years-—maybe his actual minds ability to see right and wrong-—to say he would have supported ‘the witch of Benghazi’ shows how bad off he really is-—
Trying to ruin the Tea Party. Been my suspicion for a while.
What a freaking idiot
It might have been annoying.
Do you hate them?
Is hate the word you would use to describe your feelings for them?
I wouldn’t. I don’t hate them.
