And, with modern technology, how many mother’s lives are at risk?

Technically, every pregnant woman’s life is “at risk.” Until she safely delivers, there is always the chance that something could go catastrophically wrong under circumstances (at home, for example) in which today’s excellent technology can’t help.

There are some doctors that have come out and stated that there is never a reason to end a pregnancy to protect the life of the mother. This argument is generally used to justify late term abortions. If the mother’s life is truly in jeopardy, the process to perform the abortion would take too long. A cesarean would be performed instead; no need to kill the unborn child.

Sadly, there are more ectopic pregnancies than apparently you know about. And then there are mothers who don't know that they have cancer until they ARE pregnant. Yes, some mothers with cancer don't abort, don't get treatment and die; sometimes the baby dies too.

There aren't any other health reasons that I know about, but those are two and I do know some women who went through both scenarios. Yes, some of them did die.

Read between the lines: he’s opposed to Roe v. Wade.

In other words, no more meddling by the Federal government. As President, if he nominates judges opposed to Roe v Wade, what more do you want? Federal meddling in the opposite extreme?
