Running around saying "well they liked Trump anyway", is just pathetically admitting that Cruz's plan of waiting to the last minute to actually run and let Trump have the field to himself, was flat-out irresponsible.

Maybe he thought that the base was smart enough and fed up enough to actually vote for a conservative this time.

Guess he was wrong.

So in other words, he was arrogant, entitled, careless and lazy.

But yeah, it’s OUR fault. Reminds me of a Hitler quote at the end of the war:

It must have infuriated O'Neill when Reagan steamrolled him by using public support for his policies, just as it will infuriate the Speaker of the House during Trumps tenure.
