As you might remember, days ago I was still defending Trump. Most of my posts have been sympathetic to Trump over Cruz. Not anymore. This shows it all. They know Donald will make deals and Cruz will not. The secret is out! Trump’s tactics were done to take air out of Cruz’s sails.

The United States is making headway on two historic trade agreements, one with 11 countries on the Pacific Rim and another with America’s friends in Europe. These two agreements alone would mean greater access to a billion customers for American manufacturers, farmers and ranchers.

Here’s the reality — the Establishment can be bought off on the cheap. Save 20 tax dollars by offering 1 dollar of pork. That’s how you work with the Etablishment. Cruz supporters would end up losing us more money than Trump through fiscal trench warfare — if he even manages to win the White House.
To speak in military terms — a brilliant general knows how to outmaneuver. A mediocre general gets you mired in trench warfare. Better than a ‘General Jeb’, but not ideal.
Look at Big Ethanol. By compromising on that one stinker of an issue, Trump is now getting Establishment support and at the same time gaining support in Iowa. While I hate Big Ethanol, I hate the thought of Cruz trying to rein in a rogue-RINO senate even more.
