Donald Trump shares bizarre image of a balding Ted Cruz
Business Insider ^ | January 21, 2016 | Colin Campbell

Property magnate Donald Trump shared a strange Twitter image on Thursday in order to mock his top primary rival, Sen. Ted Cruz....

Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, retweeted someone who had altered the cover of Cruz's book, "A Time for Truth," so that the Texas senator looked as if he were balding.

The altered book's title: "A Time To Lie."

Text beneath the title echoed a number of Trump's recent campaign-trail attacks against Cruz: "I am an untrustworthy person, I took loans from Wall Street and lied about it. I was in cahoots with Wall Street, also Trump was also right I am a Canadian Citizen and banker!"

Trump has previously shared bizarre tweets going after two other Republican candidates: former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson. The Carson post was blamed on a "young intern."

Here's the latest Trump tweet:

You are entitled to that point of view.

But the other point of view is that some of us don’t like to see gutter politics and rude obnoxious people who engage in character assassination when they absolutely cannot win the argument on issues.

I sometimes wonder if he does that just because he is incapable of telling right from wrong himself so he just uses other people’s material.

I have yet to see anyone start pounding the civility drum and be evenhanded about it. Usually it’s just a means of beating up on someone.

This was said, in post 182, to the party you’re currently hounding re personal attacks
:

“Typical trumpster...limited intelligence...”

Is that personal? Is it an insult? Did you take the poster to task?

Or is civility a one-way street?

And truthfully any post I make from Monday to Friday during the afternoon or late morning Eastern Time is made from my phone during my work day. So I really don’t have the time or desire to be a comment monitor all over the place.

It is not. I will go after that one now.

I do want to be even handed. Thanks.

Up to this point I’ve been a Trump supporter, but I’m beginning to rethink that.

Over the last two weeks, Trump’s script could have been written by Karl Rove.

I’m attracted to the idea of a non-GOPe candidate. But I’m beginning to question whether Trump’s a Trojan horse. Trump may have started as an independent, but it sure looks like he may have made a deal with the GOPe.

Given all the different positions Trump has held over the years, what evidence is there that we can trust him?

One thing I’m sure is true, Trump only cares about himself.

And you prove my point that you cannot defend Trump so you change the subject and make it about me.

How about taking AMERICA more seriously, Yash?

How is anyone considered a Conservative, if they align with the leftist attacks against their fellow Conservatives?

How is that not a personal attack?

Observing that the sky looks ugly is not a personal attack on the sky.

Nor is observing that someone is obnoxious, when they are.

I'm obnoxious at times, and I'll freely admit it.

But then, you seem to be having fun displaying your immature breakdown at the moment.

Whoops!

How is that not a personal attack, American Faith?

Rush speculated today that this might be a way that the GOPe is trying to take him out. All of a sudden you have Dole(?) and others saying Trump would be better. What better way to sully Trump then by the establishment appearing to support him?

“Then you’ll blubber & moan about planned parenthood & GAAAAAYS.”

OK, you’ve convinced me. Let’s support Trump, so that after he is elected we can still blubber and moan about planned parenthood and GAAAAYS.

Just another attack on conservatism from the left. How does it feel to be just like DU was in 2012?

I don't remember personally attacking you.

I do remember explaining to you why I was doing what I was doing.

I have a pretty thick FR hide. :)

I've just had it up to the eyes with reading the same posts from the same Usual Suspects, over and over and over.

I bit my tongue, until they went after Palin. No more.

Other than that, if you think being disappointed that Sarah chose to endorse a man that many of us do not trust then I don't know what to tell you other than toughen up.

Sarah Palin chose to endorse Ted Cruz during his victorious quest for a Senate seat.

"Caribou Barbie" is the thanks she gets from the "Cruzers"...

“You” is a personal pronoun.

“Are” is an intransitive verb that can indicate a state of being. (The weather is cold.)

“obnoxious” is a predicate nominative which renames, identifies, or defines the subject of the sentence. (You)

So when you link the disparaging word (obnoxious) to the personal pronoun, you have made a personal attack. And that is against posting rules.

I have been thinking exactly the same as you post here. It is really frightening and it is very sad that our fellow FReepers just can’t see it. If it can’t be seen on FR, then where else do we go.

FR has degraded tremendously between RatherGate and today....
