“Are” is an intransitive verb that can indicate a state of being. (The weather is cold.)

“obnoxious” is a predicate nominative which renames, identifies, or defines the subject of the sentence. (You)

So when you link the disparaging word (obnoxious) to the personal pronoun, you have made a personal attack. And that is against posting rules.

That is an unverified opinion, with much evidence to the contrary.

Pretty much a personal attack.

I wouldn't fault him if he had called me "obnoxious". That's a pretty obvious truism.
