There are suicidal conservatives out there. They have purified themselves to death. These people wrap their deed in the flag to boot and wave their finger trolling against all reason, preferring their red, white and blue ride on the Titantic.
Here we have a frontrunner who declares his conversion to Pro Life, explains why and how that happened, abhors the backroom barbary of Planned Parenthood to an extent that he would SHUT THAT DOWN, and the only one who is fearless and defends Christians everywhere, who boldly says “Merry Christmas”, in your face, and deplores the attacks on religious liberty.
TRUMP single handedly exposed the “stupid leadership” in DC, knows the wide open crony capitalism has got to stop, and is himself MAD AS HELL AND ISN’T GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE. Our country is dying and has no borders! THAT is what he says.
Remember when that used to be enough to call a man “conservative”? Now these people want attachments added to the basic life and religious issues, to such a degree that no one anywhere, who is not openly a holy roller may serve their cultish tendencies. It will never stop. The goal post will forever be moving. It is suicide.
We PRAYED for a leader such as this, capable of kicking doors down and planting a big foot on the necks of the UniParty. Sarah said it best, of TRUMP’s big mouth, crediting him for exposing all of them saying, “they have been BUSTED!”.
Most of us knew it would take a FORCE to have a prayer to save our country from collapsing further. All institutions are in danger.
Cut the Purists loose. TRUMP replaced their votes already!
Don’t let their state of mind steal the joy of seeing that God has, at last, provided us a chance, with a warrior, not a priest or a prophet, but a struggling spirit, a pilgrim just like you and me, who is a FORCE for RESISTANCE, and patriotism, and reason, and a single chance to restore our bleeding country and her every institution, to roll back the damages to traditions. TRUMP is deadly serious and the whole world knows it, now. That should count for something.

That has never been enough to call a man 'Conservative'. He can say whatever he likes. It's what he DOES that matters. And his record in no way matches his electioneering.
And the prerequisite to being called 'conservative' is to be an adherent of at least one of the Conservative factions, and adhere to their principles.
To be a Conservative in the spirit of Reagan is to adhere to ALL of the factions, and defend ALL of their principles.
Trump - on the record - embraces *none* of those principles.
You can vote as you like, but don't consider it the conservative thing to do if the principles of Conservatism (what Conservatism IS) are not satisfied...

I've counted myself among the conservative 'purist' set for a very long time, but, like you and millions of other conservatives, I've been forced by the dire circumstances of our nation, to recognize that we absolutely must do something to effectively fight back against the forces that are now taking our beloved country apart.
So how do we do that, given that our expressed will is being ignored by those who we elected to represent us in the halls of power? How do we do that when screaming at the top of our lungs for well over a decade, has had zero effect? How can we fight back against a government/ruling class that uses the courts to create new laws out of thin air, and overturns the will of the people by judicial fiat?
Of course, I refer to the 'Four Boxes' the American people have traditionally used to exercise their will and power. As I've noted above, all but one of them is effed up beyond all recognition, which only leaves one remaining 'box' to open. Most of us have seen the internet meme, "Our forefathers would be shooting by now", but who among us feels that we've really reached the point where the majority of decent Americans are soberly considering that option?
We're not, and we all know it. So do our domestic enemies. Claire Wolfe nailed it when she opined, "America is at that awkward stage; it's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." We're not 'going there' any time soon, so what can we do to exercise our will?
At the present moment, a last ditch hope has suddenly appeared. Maybe, just maybe, we can elect a man to office who is just as pissed off as the rest of us. Maybe, just maybe, this man, flawed as he is, will get into the White House and begin the terrible project of laying waste to all that's eating away our substance and liberties.
Maybe, just maybe, enough Americans will look into his eyes and realize he truly means business - and ensure his victory in the coming election. Maybe, just maybe, the doubting 'purists' among us will do the same, and will come to realize that it's not possible to govern from a purely ideological standpoint, when the very foundation stones of the country are crumbled like an ancient ruin, and the barbarians are running amok throughout the land.
Americans are in a pre-revolutionary mood. The natural equilibrium of the nation is upset. We can't endure much longer in this off balance state. Something's got to give, and it will. Each and every one of us must recognize that fact, and use our God given power of reason to choose the wisest path forward.
Wisdom would indicate that Donald Trump is a man that conservatives should support in dire times such as these, as he supports and defends the foundational, structural concepts and ideals that made America the greatest nation in human history. He's running away with the Republican primary, precisely because he's conservative where it counts the most.

Here is the money portion of that statement:

THAT ASPECT IS CENTRAL TO THE REAL ISSUE THAT THE CRUZ SUPPORTERS HAVE WITH TRUMP ... To them Conservative = Holy Roller.
If you are one who “wears his religion on his sleeve,” making a public display of how “morally upright” you are (think of the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican), then you just can never be a TRUE conservative. You must be a Trojan Horse, an infiltrator, insincere, etc ...
SO, the truth is that more than a few of these rabid-rant Cruz supporters are religious bigots. I guess my reference to the Church of the Purists was closer to the truth than I may have first appreciated.
