Trump supporters may actually be waking up now to find that they have been taken in by the blowhard. He now is a big backer of ethanol, hoping that this will help him in Iowa.

Ethanol is what you are forced to have in your gasoline: it harms engines, cost more than gasoline, and lowers the energy value of the fuel. It is all a racket to prop up Iowa farmers, and most politicians back it (using environmental policy as a cover) because Iowa has the first presidential primary contest.

Ted Cruz has stood up to this. So, he is being attacked by Iowa’s Governor, who of course favors the farmer-racketeers.

I am more or less ambivalent about her "endorsement". It certainly didn't sway me at all.

I suppose that “fat pig” is not in Donald Trump’s lexicon of insults, but “liar” is? While Rosie may be fat, she is not, in a literal sense, a pig. McConnell lied, so he is a liar, thus Cruz made a statement of fact, not an insult.

That is why they have the need to be first. They want the farm subsidies and if they had their primary in June, they wouldn't have any leverage against all the Crony politicians.

Trump has no principles. He will pander to everyone. Just watch him. By the time the general election comes around, he will be running to the left of Bernie Sanders.
