As a reminder, there are generally two steps to becoming POTUS. The first one is winning a party’s nomination, the second, of course, is running for and winning the White House through the national vote.

If Trump gets the nomination, it will be delicious watching him go left and he will so fast, heads will spin. He will gladly pull out interviews, and comments made in the past, in support of gay marriage, late term abortion, Barack Obama, etc., etc., etc. Then to defend his radical left turn, he will tell conservatives, “you should have been paying attention.......all this was available, so sue me.”

Donald Trump Reads The Snake Lyric At Campaign Rally Referring To Immigration | Jan.12th 2016

If he gets the nomination, we will be referring to this.
Read the following and do the following substitutions:
Snake = Trump
Tender Woman = Republican Voter
I have made the adaptations to a portion of it.

"Take me in, republican voter
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, Republican voter," sighed Trump
"I saved you," cried the Republican voter
"And you've bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, Republican voter," said Trump with a grin
"You knew darn well I was a liberal before you took me in
"Take me in, Republican voter
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, Republican Voter," sighed the Trump.

I agree completely. Trump is all about “the deal.” Dealing is what he does. If he need to promise conservatism to get what he wants and then needs to renege to get something else he wants and there’s no signed contract to legally prevent it, then so be it.

If Trump gets the nomination, it will be delicious watching him go left... so fast, heads will spin. What you say is within the realm of possibility, but not within the realm of probability. He was born into a family business very much attached to the land in a deep blue city in a blue state. To do business, he had to deal with Democrats and did so as a practical matter. But as he matured and gained greater wealth and flexibility, he gained greater latitude to think through his political instincts and he started turning right years ago, something I noticed because I followed his career since the 1970s.

I did not much like him personally until about 10 years ago, when I watched how his grown children comported themselves and how he nurtured and mentored business talent on The Apprentice. Recently, as I looked at his huge portfolio of accomplishments on The Trump Organization web site, I was deeply impressed at just how much he has created, around the world, developing office or residential space literally for millions of people, and jobs to hundreds of thousands.

The tendency of thinking people to traverse from liberalism in one's youth to conservatism in maturity has been commented upon by many in public life, most notably Winston Churchill. Trump appears to have been making this journey for a long time now. Unquestionably he loves the country; unlike many younger candidates, he actually experienced living in it when it was still free, when people who came from many walks of life and ethnicities nevertheless loved our country. It's not a theory of law to him. It is his personal experience, and it has been taken away from all of us.

Demorats are counting on exactly that...they know he will slide left, they’ve known him many years and even though they know he’s edgy they can “deal” with him....Cruz not so....which is why some Demorats are supporting Trump...better for them to get some ‘deals’ with Trump then to see their house brought down by Cruz.
