RUSH: "I don't think they care whether [Trump's] a conservative, liberal, or a Martian"

RUSH: About Trump supporters - "I don't think they care whether the person's a conservative, liberal, or a Martian"

So... There you have it... Trying to convince the Trumpites that the Donald isn't a conservative is a futile effort. They already know it and they don't care. And now we know - without a doubt - that Palin doesn't either.

Personally, I never thought much of Palin one way or the other. That she's also an opportunist, really doesn't surprise.

Rush is Right. How many elections, how many promises broken by conservatives, ones he and Levin promoted, ones we loved. No more. They all lied and/or cried.

Bears repeating.

I agree completely. Trump is all about “the deal.” Dealing is what he does. If he need to promise conservatism to get what he wants and then needs to renege to get something else he wants and there’s no signed contract to legally prevent it, then so be it.

If Trump gets the nomination, it will be delicious watching him go left... so fast, heads will spin. He will gladly pull out interviews, and comments made in the past, in support of gay marriage, late term abortion, Barack Obama, etc., etc., etc. Then to defend his radical left turn, he will tell conservatives, "you should have been paying attention.......all this was available, so sue me."

What you say is within the realm of possibility, but not within the realm of probability. He was born into a family business very much attached to the land in a deep blue city in a blue state. To do business, he had to deal with Democrats and did so as a practical matter. But as he matured and gained greater wealth and flexibility, he gained greater latitude to think through his political instincts and he started turning right years ago, something I noticed because I followed his career since the 1970s.

I did not much like him personally until about 10 years ago, when I watched how his grown children comported themselves and how he nurtured and mentored business talent on The Apprentice. Recently, as I looked at his huge portfolio of accomplishments on The Trump Organization web site, I was deeply impressed at just how much he has created, around the world, developing office or residential space literally for millions of people, and jobs to hundreds of thousands.

The tendency of thinking people to traverse from liberalism in one's youth to conservatism in maturity has been commented upon by many in public life, most notably Winston Churchill. Trump appears to have been making this journey for a long time now. Unquestionably he loves the country; unlike many younger candidates, he actually experienced living in it when it was still free, when people who came from many walks of life and ethnicities nevertheless loved our country. It's not a theory of law to him. It is his personal experience, and it has been taken away from all of us.

What is your purpose for being on this web-site? I just thought to ask because your irrelevant ad hominem attack is a favorite tool of leftist trolls.

Trying to convince the Trumpites

I think the proper term should be "Trump supporter". Anything else would indicate your personal bias against those who are supporters of Trump.

But if you choose to go down that road, then individuals such as you are just ignorant assholes......Fair enough?

I think that Rush is smart enough to know his listeners could just as easily grow weary of him like they have with establishment politicians and media figures.

I listened to Rush for 2 hours, he was Pro Cruz, and not fair and balanced. He didn’t in the time I listened say anything about what Palin and Branstad said today.

I as you said grew weary of Rush for the first time in years and turned the radio off.

I decided to go to the Trump Nevada rally on thursday got tickets, and signed up for his Caucus Class. We have about a month until the NV caucus and I think we will help out. My wife send Cruz money regularly, we have lived in 7 states, and we didn’t like the New York values comment.

Here in Nevada we must have 140,000 former New Yorkers. Cruz shot himself in the Foot.

Right now I am waiting to see the Iowa rally where Palin is endorsing Trump

Conservatives just want their country back. They want an end to political correctness, they want jobs and prosperity back. They want borders closed. Everything else is secondary to making America great again. We have to start some where. We need someone who will not let the media get away with their BS.

LOL! All this from a 17-year old video of Trump espousing more liberal views on abortion, which he later recanted.

Meanwhile, just 12 years before his presidential run, Reagan signed a very liberal abortion bill in California, giving the right to an abortion — six years before Roe v. Wade. Reagan later expressed a change of heart on the issue, and became known as a solidly pro-life president.

I guess Ronald Reagan was not conservative enough for Ted Cruz?

Saw where David Limbaugh supports Cruz on Twitter. Good man.

And now conservative talk radio may have start distancing themselves from Trump.

Limbaugh won't bad mouth Trump because he knows that detonates in his face. Rush is walking a fine line for his future longevity.

When Trump wins the nomination, Limbaugh will be happy to be Trumps honored guest and latest to endorse.

But if Rush has any bad feelings about Trump's status in the polls and chances of winning, he only need look in the mirror for a large portion of the reason.

Bingo.

Except conservative talk radio is really in Cruzs court. Trump isn’t a conservatives conservative. He’s really a moderate saying the things some people want to hear.

And nearly all will get into that court when Trump gets the nomination, which I think he will. Trumps court will become very crowded. Some incrementally, but Limbaugh will try to be become first of the radio talkers and most forceful for Trump and will go in 100% when he wins the nomination.

In fact Limbaugh will likely have a big endorsement announcement for it.

But we’ll see what happens joe.
