RUSH: About Trump supporters - "I don't think they care whether the person's a conservative, liberal, or a Martian"
So... There you have it... Trying to convince the Trumpites that the Donald isn't a conservative is a futile effort. They already know it and they don't care. And now we know - without a doubt - that Palin doesn't either.
Personally, I never thought much of Palin one way or the other. That she's also an opportunist, really doesn't surprise.
Trump supporters would have a problem with the Martian (not NBC) example as that is their main argument to reject Cruz.
I surely wish Cruz would get this straightened out, if it even can be.
The left is not going to deal with this as they need the precedent of a citizen questionable GOP nominee so they can justify same sort come time again for them.
On the jacket back cover, there was a message from his widow, Virginia, that said this version was the way he wrote it and intended for the readers.
The original version, as published, had been cut down considerably because the publisher didn't think a sci-fi novel was supposed to be big and long and so they had him cut it down three times before they finally accepted it.
FROM WIKI:
Publication history
Two major versions of this book exist:
The 1961 version, which, at the request of the publisher, Heinlein cut by over a quarter. Approximately 60,000 words were removed from the original manuscript, including some sharp criticism of American attitudes to sex and religion.[9] Sales were slow at first, but after winning a Hugo award Stranger became popular among college students. The book remained in print for 28 years.[10] By 1997, over 100,000 copies of the hardback edition had been sold along with nearly five million copies of the paperback.[9] None of his later novels would match this level of success.[21]
In 1989, Heinlein's widow, Virginia, renewed the copyright to Stranger and cancelled the existing publication contracts in accordance with the Copyright Act of 1976.[10] The 1991 version, retrieved from Heinlein's archives in the University of California, Santa Cruz, Special Collections Department by Virginia and published posthumously, which reproduces the original manuscript and restores all cuts. Both Heinlein's agent and his publisher (which had new senior editors) agreed that the uncut version was better: readers are used to longer books, and what was seen as objectionable in 1961 was no longer so thirty years later.[6]
“Heck she even used teleprompters when announcing her Trump endorsement”
Prove it.
Rush is absolutely right. It is like trying to convince a leftist that Obama is an utter failure and Clinton a serial sex abuser. It can not be done.
It’s really sad.
I get as discouraged by the blind venom here from the right as I do by the Whoopie Goldberg types who ok rape if the rapist is a true lib.
Rush is correct and I’ve explained that sentiment among Trump voters better than he did. We don’t care if he isn’t a perfect conservative. The candidate being a perfect conservative in 2016 is as important as having good, solid silverware for eating your dinner. You don’t want want flimsy plastic or cheap metal. Choosing a perfect conservative is making sure you have great utensils.
Choosing someone who is independently wealthy, patriotic, and with the balls to fight both the media and the establishment, someone with a track record of visible, merit-based decision making, is like being allowed to have food at that meal.
No one, and I do mean no one, on the left will vote for Cruz.
A lot of people on the GOPe right did vote for Obama, especially the first time.
People on the left either like Trump because he is ballsy or they would NEVER vote for the clown, but they will not vote for Cruz. Some would never vote Hillary. Some stupid people actually would vote Sanders. But among all the lefties I know, some would vote Hillary but NONE would vote Cruz.
I think I would prefer hunger.
NO.
Do your own work.
“Heck she even used teleprompters when announcing her Trump endorsement”
You made the assertion, it’s yours to prove.
