True. But I’ve looked at the posts and it’s more outright hatred on the Cruz side. If Palin backed Cruz, I don’t think she’d be bashed as much or as cruelly.
I can sort of understand why many of them are so bitter, and why some attack Trump supporters so viciously. Their guy has been trailing Trump and playing 'me too' politics since Trump entered the race.
Full disclosure: I was a Cruz supporter before Trump got in. I voted in Texas to help Ted win his Senate race, then donated to his presidential campaign four times, until he cast his aye vote for TPA.
You could almost say that Ted set me up to switch to Trump - by casting his TPA vote, then his aye vote on the reviled Corker bill, his support for increasing H1-B visas, his refusal to say what he'd do about the millions of illegals in the country, etc.
Someone posted a thread here yesterday(?) that asked the question: "Who did you support before you supported Trump?"
I was really surprised to see how many people answered, "Cruz". That's not to say that Donald swayed a huge number of Cruz supporters to his side, but he did take a big chunk. Personally, I believe it was due to the deal-breakers I mentioned above.
Unfortunately, a lot of Cruz supporters let their frustrations get the best of them, and take it out on their fellow conservatives who have simply looked over the candidates and picked someone besides their favorite. Wish they didn't have to be so dang contentious about it. It's the primary, and this is what we're supposed to be doing.
