Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.
Do not stay home. If Trump wins, leave the presidential spot blank and vote for conservatives down the ballot. That is what I will do. My vote for president does not matter, except to me, as the majority of Texas will vote Republican.
Hi Finny,
Please put me on your list for Cruz.
I’m part of the “quiet” Cruz supporters.
Thanks
Done, thank you!
“The majority on FR prefer Cruz. The minority wants Trump. It is what it is.”
THANK YOU, that encourages me, I had said that I felt it was the opposite, but I am glad on this occasion to be proven wrong.
You’ve been very diligent. I have probably posted less than twenty posts in the last year posting a preference one way or the other. Good post, Finny!
Thank you kindly!
“Stay home and DONâT post here either !”
Go thing for you. This is a FREE country and I WILL post as much as I want. Just because you’re a commie that supports a commie doesn’t much matter to me!
“If Trump wins, leave the presidential spot blank and vote for conservatives down the ballot”
I agree. That is actually what I plan to do. I’ll even write in Cruz if possible, but I won’t vote Trump.
I can’t imagine the mental gymnastics involved in having to justify support for Donald Trump. The man has said he wants to increase ethanol subsidies more than Obama has done. And that’s just one, just the very latest, of his big-government statist positions.
How does a conservative justify that to himself?
It’s going to be interesting to watch when Sarah Palin gets challenged on her decision to endorse a man whose position on ethanol-—among many others-—is diametrically opposed to her own.
Or is it (are they)? Look, I loved Palin back when she gave her speech at the convention. I remember hanging on the phone with my sister-in-law during that even...we just thought she was so cool.
She’s been wearing on me for quite a while, though. I just tired of the speeches with the catchphrases, and the “you betcha”...it just seemed like she was good at talking to stay in the spotlight. Even if tabloid TV was the ticket. And God help me, if I heard “Mama Grizzly” once more, I would have thrown something.
Now I really question how solidly conservative she ever was. Because I just don’t think a person who IS that would jump to endorse someone as progressive as Trump.
I’m done with her. Clearly she’s come to hunger for the spotlight and for media attention. She wasn’t willing to put in the sacrifice to run for office, but she enjoyed that looooong tease, keeping people wondering, and she likes the stage.
Last but not least, there’s that cabinet position she wants. Yeah, she sold out. And I imagine Uncle Sugar will take care of the legal problems her son is having.
She’s not worthy of respect anymore.

That is what I plan to do also.

Too bad there are no “quiet” Trump supporters. :o)

It may be a "FREE COUNTRY", but specious, slanderous posts don't make you look good, nor does it encourage others to take you seriously.
{^) LOL! That is the one and only Palinism that turned me off. It's so ... hokey. Otherwise, I've always admired Palin, read her books, enjoyed her well-written facebook blurbs (not on facebook but elsewhere), identified with her not only because of her limited government outlook, but because we both worked our way through college by waitressing, and commercial fishing -- I'm from that background, and it's why I am so totally okay with rowdy aspects of her kids -- it's a different life. Few would ever really get it if they're not already inclined. It's a world of ballsy entrepreneurs that make Trump look like a miniature French poodle in terms of risk.
To me, Palin doing this was out of left field, totally a surprise. Oh well -- there's only one thing to do.
Press on!
.
Yeeeehaw!

Well you must be a commie if you demand that I stop posting just because I refuse to support a liberal like Trump! That is the epitome of being a commie!
Nothing that I previously said was the least bit slanderous since all that I said is that I would NOT vote for a liberal like Trump. That is not slanderous because that is true. Even Trump’s liberal leanings is a documented FACT!
Of course, just like a good little commie liberal, you even attempt to apply your Alinsky tactics to your post. Unfortunately, you need a lot more practice. LOL

But, say! What about smartly dressed pandering?
Well, more than that -- the kind of smartly dressed poise that can handle reality TV. That *cough* devastating video of Ted Cruz rehearsing his "touching moments" with his family, you never see that on reality TV! What a phony that Ted is -- unlike real people who have the *ahem* guts to put themselves on reality TV.
Bah.
