Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.
I still love you, too, Finny. Even though we don't agree on our choices for candidate in this election.
Peace, dear.
Your needle seems to have swung completely off the peg, lately. You’re sounding as rabid as our old friend pissant did, right before he rode the lightning.
Good luck.
Not sure when Ted will actually pull the plug, but it may happen before March 1st. It's looking that bad.
The only place he was beating Trump was in Iowa, and that now looks like it's gone. I seriously don't see a path forward for him after the major hits he's taken this week.
I was just talking to the wife about this, and said to her that Ted stepped right in front of a moving train when he started taking swipes at Donald.
After seeing what Donald has done to other candidates who swung on him in this campaign, you almost have to think it was suicide on Ted's part.
Trump is like a political ninja with a death sting. Opponents make a move on him, and three days later they wake up on the floor, wondering how the hell they got there, and what the heck happened to their campaign.
Ted can't be VP. He's not constitutionally eligible to be Prez, so he can't be VP either.
Bullseye.
I can sort of understand why many of them are so bitter, and why some attack Trump supporters so viciously. Their guy has been trailing Trump and playing 'me too' politics since Trump entered the race.
Full disclosure: I was a Cruz supporter before Trump got in. I voted in Texas to help Ted win his Senate race, then donated to his presidential campaign four times, until he cast his aye vote for TPA.
You could almost say that Ted set me up to switch to Trump - by casting his TPA vote, then his aye vote on the reviled Corker bill, his support for increasing H1-B visas, his refusal to say what he'd do about the millions of illegals in the country, etc.
Someone posted a thread here yesterday(?) that asked the question: "Who did you support before you supported Trump?"
I was really surprised to see how many people answered, "Cruz". That's not to say that Donald swayed a huge number of Cruz supporters to his side, but he did take a big chunk. Personally, I believe it was due to the deal-breakers I mentioned above.
Unfortunately, a lot of Cruz supporters let their frustrations get the best of them, and take it out on their fellow conservatives who have simply looked over the candidates and picked someone besides their favorite. Wish they didn't have to be so dang contentious about it. It's the primary, and this is what we're supposed to be doing.
Mark my words. Some day you're going to regret having ever uttered that slander.
I hope you're man enough to apologize when the day comes.
I consider what I say very carefully most of the time. I might be embarrassed if I farted in a elevator. As to the "ethnic card" as you phrased it, because I did not. I believe that is the lefty response when I hit a nerve. Take it or leave it...
I’m with you Laz. But the bottom line is, whatever Trump’s position on ethanol, we still have a choice between Trump and Cruz, and all the other candidates. Dissapointed? Yes. Am I going to cut my nose off to spite my face because of it? No.
We have existential threats facing us as a nation, this election cycle, and at the top of the list is immigration. I feel we have an opportunity with Trump to finally deal with this issue once and for all, not just kick the can down the road like all the other candidates would do. Trump’s plan will largely solve a problem that politicians have deliberately refused to solve for years so they could use it to their benefit. Ethanol mandates? I don’t like ‘em, and down the line they need to be eliminated. But at the moment, it’s small enough price to pay to have some critical issues finally addressed, IMO. Take care.
Iâll be honest; Iâm sitting here cackling at the sobbing and butthurt on this thread. Iâd be posting pictures of crying children to all of them, but Iâm saving that for after Iowa.
Now they are directing at Sarah everything that theyâve been directing at us, and inadvertently revealing their narrow-mindedness. ANYONE who dares to differ must be shamed, insulted, and beaten down.
Amazing how most of the âtrue conservativesâ are acting more and more like liberals, whereas most of the âliberal Trumpanzeesâ are the ones who are for freedom of opinion.

Well said!!
Is there anything she won't do for money?
Sarah genuinely likes Trump. That's obvious when she interviews him. There's no reason to doubt her sincerity. If she only cared about money she would have run a sham presidential campaign in 2012, always a great way to boost sales.
Oh, and it's also obvious that Trump likes her. I'm going to call it: Trump will choose her as his VP to deflect Hillary's "first woman president" angle. Vote Trump and in four to eight years you get a nice woman president instead of a hateful screeching hag.
Good deal.
My problem is more, if he panders so obviously here, is he pandering to all of us?
Well, I can’t say it hasn’t crossed my mind. We should always hold all candidates feet to the fire if they start to get wobbly. I’m still leaning towards viewing this as a case of Trump getting too anxious to win this early and so has made this move to try to seal the deal with Iowa. If that’s the case, then I view it as a mistake and totally unnecessary. Even if it meant losing Iowa, he should have taken the high road. He’d still likely win easily even without it.
So, very likely he got impatient and allowed the prospect of an Iowa win to cause him to take the wrong side of this issue. If that’s what this is all about, then it’s an example of a personal flaw of his - allowing the prospect of victory to cause him to compromise on principle. That’s a negative I might be able to live with if it’s rare and doesn’t effect his position on the more important issues of the day. We’ll see.
To be fair, this isn’t a flip-flop. It’s just an instance of him taking the wrong position for political expediency. Bad, but not necessarily an indication that he’s not going to do what he’s said he would regarding immigration, trade defecits, etc. We’ll have to see.
Too much reality TV for me, windy.
It's baffling, I'll give you that. But to suggest it might be ethnic, is like suggesting Sara's the perfect fit for Trump, really, because his personal brand is of a guy surrounded by hot babes.
That couldn't have had anything to do with any overture he made to her, now, could it? About as likely as folks rejecting Cruz because of his ethnicity? Hell, it's hard to tell.
Sara chose the wrong guy.
Bump
Really. You did, did you. You didn't notice that Ted has been for "phasing out" that mandate for years ...?
Quite a lot more than that, FRiend, just on Free Republic. Try more than 310. As opposed to a little under 280 Trump folks.
The tone of discussions often belies the majority opinion.
GO SARAH!
GO TRUMP!
