Pandering to continue government subsidies for a bad product that causes engines to wear out faster and get less mileage.
How can conservatives defend government subsidies. Government picking winners? How is that a conservative position?
FR is still supposed to be a conservative bastion isn’t it?
Butanol, unlike ethanol, can be run as a direct substitute for gasoline. It is hydrophobic meaning it does not absorb water out of the atmosphere like ethanol. BTU content is close to gasoline and it burns with fewer deposits and byproducts than gasoline. Further, it does not NEED to be made from our food sources. It can be made from a number of waste products such as corn husks, grass clippings, etc.
That is why I said Ethanol bad, Butanol good.
Now as to subsidies, I did not make a comment.
