Cruz spokesman: I’d be “deeply disappointed” if Sarah Palin endorses a progressive like Trump

This makes me think it is Palin who's going to endorse Trump today and that Team Cruz knows it. Otherwise Rick Tyler would have answered this question differently, in spokesman-ese. You know how it goes: "Oh, listen, I'm not going to speculate about who's endorsing who. Ted Cruz admires Governor Palin, she and Ted Cruz have been allies since he joined the Senate, but endorsements aren't going to win this race. Iowans are going to decide based on who has the better record standing up to the Washington cartel and that's obviously Senator Cruz." He doesn't say that. What he's doing here is a sort of "prebuttal" -- surely, surely, an icon of populist conservatism like Sarah Palin isn't about to throw in with the biggest RINO in the race, a guy who was busy praising Barack Obama in the media on the very day that the tea party was born. If her endorsement's still in play for Cruz, why would Tyler antagonize her by saying backing Trump would be a blow to her credibility instead of saying something flattering instead? He must know something.

Leon Wolf's own "prebuttal" is less diplomatic than Tyler's:

He should be gracious, and not critical of Palin if she endorses Trump.

Or at least wait until she actually does something before criticizing her for it.

Cruz and his supporters are nasty. Cruz reputation is “creepy” and arrogant.

I don’t think he will win primary, but in case he does, he will be labelled as “Creepy guy from dorm”.

“No conservative supports Donald Trump’s nomination. None.”

Well, I do! I’m tired of all the “false prophet conservatives” who’ve blown smoke up my a$$ to get my vote. There seems to be a part of “today’s conservatism” that includes talking a good story then not doing anything substantive to fix the problems they’ve said need fixing. We went with these “conservatives” (Bob Dole, George Bush, John Mc Lame, and Mitt Romney) and look where we are today!
Yeah, Trump may not be a doctrinaire conservative, but I’m betting he will get a lot of positive things done as our President. It’s time, if they want to lead, that “conservatives” show us all that they have the fortitude to do just that. Talk is cheap, and I’ve had a gut full of it.

One thing for certain, IF Palin endorses Trump, she will permanently lose many fans. I have been an enthusiastic supporter when she has been on my side. When she's went against my side, endorsing Romney, and if she endorses Trump, then she will have placed herself in the opposition camp representing what I want to lose -- moderate left-leaning Republicans.

All Palin will do if she supports Trump, is indicate that I'm not as good a judge of character as I thought. But my right and sensible rejection of Trump will remain regardless of which way Palin moves.

Donald Trump OUTRIGHT LIES to people about Ted Cruz in order to "win" them to his side.

And you have the gumption to call Cruz "creepy" and arrogant.

Disgusting and shameful.

[No conservative supports Donald Trump’s nomination. None.]

Who the f-— are you to determine who I support or don’t???

Tnis is why Cruz is tanking in the polls. Supporters like this Demshategod clown believe that they are judge and jury on what is “conservative”, as well as acting as keyboard “executioner” when someone believes differently.

Where was this vitriol weeks or months ago when Trump was the front runner and Cruz was stcuk at 6th or 7th place????

Trump demolished the others in the path and Cruz and his ilk think they can just skirt by, and that DT will let them pass him to the front?

You people are so wrong if that’s the case. Trump is out to win for America, and will not let someone who is trying to skirt eligibility laws and campaign finance laws skate by while he did all of the heavy lifting.

Reminds me of the righteous Christian Brits who hated Winston Churchill because he smoked cigars, drank whiskey, and used occasional profanity. We need an Alpha male more than ever.

I would be deeply disappointed as well. But unlike many Trump supporters, who call anyone who does not support Trump everything from RINOs to traitors, I would just note that I would disagree with her choice and be sorry that she made it, and that such a choice would cause me to be very cautious about any other endorsements she made.

The obscure daughter of a long dead celebrity? Can we get the son of the lead singer of an 80’s hair band too? Now that would be almost as impressive an endorsement.

What is your head going to do if Trump wins the presidency and proceeds to do what he has always done -- that is, act like a leftist Democrat on board with leftist concepts?

You will be hiding your poor muddled noggin in the sand because you will be so busy trying to avoid accountability for what you voted for.

But keep squeezing your eyes shut, Jessup, and keep shouting so you don't have to hear truth.

But when the time comes for you to answer for the consequences of your vote -- BE PREPARED to take responsibility for a lot of government tyranny that you voted FOR.

Sorta like what Cruz just tweeted...more “attacks”...many of you Trump supporters lie:

Ted Cruz ‏@tedcruz 2m2 minutes ago
I love @SarahPalinUSA Without her support, I wouldn’t be in the Senate. Regardless of what she does in 2016, I will always be a big fan.

That just doesn’t have the sticking power of “extreme left wing progressive” that Trump is now saddled with in the Republican primary.

I just heard Rush cover a speech from Cruz where he outright lied about Trump WHILE he was trying to take credit for Trump’s ideas.

Who even knew who she was before she endorsed an open borders globalist that endorsed de Blasio?

I would disagree with her choice and be sorry that she made it, and that such a choice would cause me to be very cautious about any other endorsements she made.

The reason for such level-headed thinking is that we Cruz supporters have confidence in the constitution and in Ted Cruz. The emotions of anger and hate are very far removed from us in part because we know that anger and hate, while normal human emotions, are also WEAKNESSES and therefore anger and hate should be analyzed and then set aside as quickly as possible for cooler, clearer thinking.

And THAT is exactly what you express you will do, and it is the same as me. I wouldn't be angry at Palin (for long, anyway) nor would I hate her; I would only proceed with caution in trusting her further.

You, like Ted Cruz, talk level-headed cool-thinking sense. Trump talks emotional hot-headed angry theatrics with lies to mislead and deceive his listeners.

If so, then POST THE SPECIFICS. Post the tape of the words coming out of Cruz's mouth so I can hear and see them being spoken.

Go ahead. I will be looking for it. Otherwise, I will figure you're about as trustworthy as lying Trump.
