Ted Cruz camp: 'Blow to Sarah Palin' if she endorses Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | 01/19/2016 | David Sherfinski

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign said Tuesday it would be a "blow" to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she endorsed businessman Donald Trump for president.

"I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."

So...

Is anyone doing any flight following of Biz Jets out of Alaska?

Last time I saw pictures of the Palins on the Tarmac, they were getting in a Cessna Citation.

Lets see if they are flying too Iowa or not.....

Couldn’t agree more.

The sunshine soldiers like Sarah are showing conservatism was never a core held belief, but merely a vehicle for personal advancement and money.

Phony is as phony does.

If trump confirms the kenyan’s actions, we will not pull out of dictatorship. The Republic will be lost. The USA will continue, but age of the Republic will be dead.

Interesting. I believe Rand Paul is the most "constitutional" of all the candidates - but he doesn't have a chance to win. Seems no one here likes Paul but I do think he's the most "pure".

“If trump is elected, I fear that will be the end of constitutional conservatism, and with it, the Republic”.

How quaint. You might not have noticed, but the republic in ANY sense of how it was founded ended long ago. We are in a dictatorship of an oligarchy that -rules- over the citizens of this nation with utterly no regard for our wishes.

Typical classy Cruzloserbot, real Christian comments. I am excited to see the phrase blow and Sarah Palin in the same sentence.

Paul’s interpretation of the Constitution takes a more libertarian line than what I think the Founders intended. I have a fairly strong libertarian streak myself, but Paul takes it farther than I would. But I would prefer Paul to trump in a very short heartbeat.

So you're saying he's ruled by money and not principles?

No, that's not what I had said, though I can see how someone might think so.

The same forces work on a business person as work on politicians.

However, the politician creates, and is a creation of, those forces. They live in an illusion-based world.

Business people, otoh, live, work and have to survive in a merit-based world.

They might market using illusion, but the consequences from satisfying or failing to satisfy customer/client wants and needs are as real world as it gets.

To me, The Donald's Trump, Inc. is a business that has to walk in both worlds, real and illusory but still must survive and succeed in the real, merit-based world.

I'm not saying that Trump is perfect nor righteous, just a man to understand since he could be POTUS.

My goal is to be an accurate observer, rather than a player in the game this time, which requires my setting aside emotional reactions and emotion-based conclusions.

Not an easy thing for me and I have to work at it. There were times I wanted to be a Vulcan when I was a kid. I'd trip and stumble over emotion way too easily back then and still have to work to avoid that now.

What we have become here is INFORMED.

You have one candidate that poses as a pristine warrior for conservatism, honking about conservative issues from the lap of the Establishment, except for when he is not, and absolutely AWOL in the live or die elections of other conservatives, while HIDING the fact that he is funding the SOB’s killing them off, to the tune of $200.000.00.

And, like Hillary, this same Establishment pup candidate blames everyone but himself, takes no responsibility for his financial support that issued the MISSISSIPPI TREATMENT of Matt Bevin. This faux conservative by his silence and cash gift to McConnell got Bevin kicked to the curb and gave moral support to the dirty tricks operation used to do it.

Nevermind that Cruz will not answer the questions dogging him, but is instead unleashing a string of look-over-there appearances, ads, and attitude in order to dodge all of it.

Well, it is just beginning.

Cruz is a PLAYER. We all now, know it.

Then there is the FORCE, TRUMP, who pleads “GUILTY, AS CHARGED”!

I like the honest one.

TRUMP, 2016

And yet you are decieved if you believe that trump, who buys and sells politicians, who uses eminent domain to take other people’s property, who works with Mafiosi, who obtains massive tax breaks so we little people can carry the load, whose wealthy father made sure he didn’t get drafted, and bought him a spot an Ivy League school, is going to deliver you from the oligarchy. trump is part and parcel of the oligarchy.

“If trump is elected, I fear that will be the end of constitutional conservatism, and with it, the Republic.”

That statement of yours really was telling. It could not be any more clear that neither party views the constitution as a true blueprint. AT BEST, they see it as something to get around. Or they structure their abuses to look constitutional. The constitutional republic is over already.
Examples abound, Obamacare, Obama launching a completely illegal war in Libya, open borders, the executive orders of Bush and Obama, NSA restricted from the beginning from spying at home suddenly turning its eye inward under Bush, the dept of homeland security a domestic army created by Bush. The import of 800k moslems by Bush, and 700k by Obama so far. The revolutionary zeal to root out all religion except islam. The governmental promotion of homosexuality. Their claim of ownership of our children. The absolute security state paranoia found everywhere in government. The weaponization of every branch of government, the list is nearly endless.

Electing a conservative wonk will not return us to the republic. DC is utterly and completely an alien entity occupying America. Unfortunately Cruz showed his true GS colors with his fast track stunt for Obama.

Trump is being send to destroy DC. It really cannot be mended.

I believe we can reverse much of the damage. But not by electing trump and confirming the destruction of the Republic.

Not buying. Trump is long established and well known. He was successful in the landscape the Cruz’s, McConnells, Bushs, Clintons, and Obamas of this world have created. But I think he always was disgusted by it and by their corruption.

Now he can do something about it. It may sound funny to you, but I think in most ways he’s a normal American who loves our nation first.
I think you are the one deceived that Cruz is not an establishment tool.

I see who hates Trump, and that tells me all I really need to know. The State of Union response attacking Trump, do you think the GOP suddenly cared about the nation? Idiotic.

A Palin endorsement of Trump destroys Cruz’s entire narrative on Trump, and the millions of dollars spent on that narrative with ads, talking points etc.

And it exposes Cruz as the nasty, vindictive and hateful person that everyone who knows him...already knew.

It’s rare to see this degree of disloyalty in American politics.

Exactumundo, FRiend.

Cruz is off the deep end attacking Sarah Palin’s judgement & character before she even endorsed Trump.

The questions just write themselves now: “Senator Cruz, did Sarah Palin have bad judgement when she previously endorsed you? How about Gov. Hailey?, etc., etc.”

This is the coup de grace on Cruz. This primary is over.

Oh MY. Yes this is why people don't like Cruz. Flip and flop, with no loyalties. Been Tweeting that message all morning. Very, very dumb on Cruz's part and on the part of his supporters to trash Palin. VERY DUMB, endorsement or not.

Very interesting! Sounds like Cruz bashing Palin was enough to push her to Trump! This will be a YUGE endorsement!
