I worry too, but look at all the Un-rattfied amendments that are essentially dead letters:
So they could try to destroy the 2nd but if we cannot get 13 states to veto such a thing we have already lost the country...
An article V would only generate Un-ratified amendments, it would be up to states to ratify them, and all it takes is 13 states to say NO, and they become dead letters.

Do you make a good argument. It has merit. Is it as safe as avoiding the problem up front? I’m not sold on it.
