“Whites” did not kill Martin Luther King. A (single) white guy did. Blame him, not an entire race. Lest you be guilty of exactly the same racism King was fighting.

RFK and JFK are often pictured in kitchy memorials alongside their black brother MLK but it omits the history that the Kennedys had MLK under surveillance and wiretapped his phones.

“We” did not kill him; THEY killed him.

Jesse Jackson seems to have gained the most from MLK’s death and he certainly doesn’t seem focused on attaining King’s espoused dream of a color blind society.

One person murdered Dr. King. I read the headline and had a vision of a group of White people all struggling to pull the trigger at the same time.

A white racist DEMOCRAT killed Republican MLK and blacks still vote for the party of white racists that see to the death of millions of their babies and a slew of their young men.

If a Muslim had killed him, we’d be told not to judge the vast majority of decent, peaceful, patriotic Muslims based on the actions of a single crazed gunman.

That take on history sounds a bit like the revisionist history taught by the ruling blacks in Heinlein’s “Farnham’s Freehold”-the author of this article must have read it...

I was 4 years old, living overseas when he was killed.
Had absolutely no awareness of who the man was or that he even existed at the time.
I didn’t kill him.
1 white guy did, 1.

So now I can say “Muslims did 9/11”, right?

Which is rare, considering the comment section there is usually like reading DU.
The libs all took the day off.
Not a big fan of Gannett in general. USA Today used to be readable, mostly general news and fluff, but still readable.
Now, it's nothing but leftist crap like the rest of the chain. I don't even bother reading the local Gannett rag when I see it. Some days it's no bigger than a single sheet of toilet paper, and not as useful.
Okay, slight exaggeration on the size, but I have seen church bulletins with more pages than what Gannett has unsuccessfully done to their local product some days.

Benjamin Franklin's birthday was yesterday. Martin O'Malley's birthday is today. Stonewall Jackson's birthday is January 21. John Belushi's birthday is January 24. FDR's birthday is January 30.
In the interests of diversity, we need to combine them all in one holiday. King-Franklin-O'Malley-Lee-Jackson-Belushi-FDR Day.

I donât âhonorâ him. MLK day is nothing but a religious holiday for communists and philanderers. It's in lieu of May Day.

If MLK were alive today, he could not become governor of Louisiana because of his past dalliance with a prostitute. Only if he were a Republican. For Democrats it's a resume enhancer.
