You guys are pathetic. This is what you are reduced to? Critiquing whether Trump says 2 or 2nd? Go to a Catholic Church, you’ll here it either way depending on who does the reading. It’s not a big deal.

Rush just replayed that looks related to this:

Trump said, that his book is ‘a deep second to the bible.’

I’ve heard others say 2 when referring to the second book of the Bible - these people are such Pharisees - those that Jesus despised because they think they are so righteous - and Jesus had a few choice words for them. Those criticizing Trump need to repent for their arrogance.

It is a big deal to the Cruzbots who don’t understand that God set up the government to be a separate entity from the church - whose mission it is to preach the gospel. He never gave that commission to the government. If these so-called purists knew their Bible - they would know this -but, they don’t. They think we are electing a Pope or a pastor to run the country. Render unto Caesar te ghings that are Caesars, and unto God the things that are Gods. I suspect, in addition to being politically naive, they are also Biblically naive.

You are absolutely correct.   I have heard the numbered epistles referred to by public readers at Masses I've attended as "One Corinthians" or "Two Timothy", (etc.) probably thousands of times over the years (as a sort of shorthand reference many Catholics use for epistle number designations), just like they might just say "one-to-three", instead of "verses one-to-three", or "letter" instead of "epistle".   Like you stated, it most certainly is not a big deal.
