I believe that what he was implying is that your seem to be reading from a narrative that everything Trump does is evil.
Nick, this whole thread is an example of the depths of the sickness the Crewz have spread on this forum.
He said 2 instead of second.
That is now something that adults want Trump disqualified for.
Wake up folks. Get a grip.
You are better than this. You all are.
For heaven’s sake. Snap out if it.
This is EVIL.
Oh, my friend,
This is not evil. This is Free Republic where people can post what they think as long as they don’t deal in profanity or personal insults. (Unless you think ‘you suck’ is a personal insult)
We’re all just passionate about our candidates and we get a little over the top sometimes.
But calling Cruz supporters “the depths of sickness” is not a good way to call us to be better.
It’s EVIL?!
Um, no. It’s primary season at FR. Get up on the porch if it’s too much for ya.
My goodness.
Not at all. I have "defended" Trump, even this morning. (I said it's ridiculous the U.K. would ban him) I said it was completely false when Hillary blamed him for the Charleston shooting. Or once when someone said he was anti-Semitic. And a few other instances. I just say about him what the facts warrant.
Why do you and others say that all criticism of him should be forbidden. It's like he's a God and you believe he should be exempt from any truth or criticism. Why is that justified?
That is now something that adults want Trump disqualified for.
I don't think anyone is saying he should be disqualified for this. They are making fun of him, just like we did with Clinton and Obama when they pretended to be more religious than they were.
Look, Reagan wasn't super-religious by anyone's definition, but he won Evangelical votes, by being respectful, but not by pretending to be something he wasn't.
A few weeks ago in Iowa, Trump refereed to "my Evangelical faith." Isn't that silly. Everyone who knows him knows he hasn't been anything close to Evangelical in his life. When politicians do that, it's silly.
This is EVIL.
Tell me what i said above that's evil.
I have been criticized on this forum for my criticisms of Cruz, too. Going back to before Trump entered. I still say I am not happy with Cruz. I don't trust any Republican on immigration for example. But at least Cruz is inside a Venn diagram of candidates a conservative might support. Certain other candidates are way outside of that. I don't endorse Cruz, I haven't endorsed anyone. But I will say what is good or bad about Cruz, just like the other candidates.
Why do we have to act like a lefty college professor and band all speech about Trump that isn't glowing? How is that a conservative value?
Almost through reading this thread. Easy to scan past and ignore the "...So's your old man..." and " Yo Mama!" emotional bilge from both "sides".
I waited a while and gave Trump a chance to win my support. He never closed the deal with me and the past week's antics and confirmed my decision for me.
The eliglible / not eligible and the won' sue / gonna sue flips reveal a contempt (or audacity) that is still mind boggling to me.
Then comes a report regarding his prolife conversion - that being that if the baby had been a "loser" then he's not sure what he would have thought. I'll give him an A for honesty. But, to me, it shows a pure pragmatist.
And though many (most) might think a life lived by the principles of pragmatism to be an admirable thing, I do not.
No D1... If you don't get the 'shibboleth' reference, you don't understand. That's all the article points out. Just another example of how 'he ain't one of us', while he claims he is.
For me, he's disqualified from the get go - I won't vote for a guy who makes money from casinos and strip clubs. Not going to happen, *ever*. End of story. And I am sure that many Christians agree with that.
Trump really doesn't have a righteous leg to stand on... Y'all can't defend what isn't there.
