Donald Trump, speaking to a religious crowd at Virginia's Liberty University on Monday, turned to scripture.
"We're going to protect Christianity. I can say that. I don't have to be politically correct," he said. "Two Corinthians, 3:17, that's the whole ballgame ... is that the one you like?"

Where do I find the verse which states, “We’re going to win so much, you’re going to beg me to stop. Please Mr. President, can’t we lose just once? And I’m not going to do it!”
LOL!
“Why do you and others say that all criticism of him should be forbidden.”
Because it’s a cult of personality, and in a cult of personality, you are not allowed to criticize the deified leader.
What does the Bible say about liars? I need to look that up and post it every time you post, Miss Georgia Liar.
Wow...just wow.....
This poo flinging is pretty hilarious, and sad. I like how the die-hard anti-Trump faction claims ‘nae true conservative’ in nearly every post, and then jumps all over this leftist nothing of a story from Politico saying Trump “bungled” a reference when he clearly didn’t. I think anti-[Insert Candidate Here] delirium in the Trump/Cruz camps is really starting to take it’s toll on everyone. I think it’s time for me to tune out until my Florida primary so that I don’t get caught up in the madness. The only guy I was ever really against was the fraud Carson, and he’s tanked, so I’m happy. As long as Trump or Cruz wins, we’ll be in good shape to go up against Hillary, and I won’t feel the wretched pain of self-disappointment pulling the lever for a Republican President like I have the past few elections.
Best wishes to all!
Yup. And some say 2 p.m. and others say fourteen hundred.
Trump said defend Christianity and all we get his he bungled TWO vs 2nd...
LOL
Just for the record, I spent my high school years in an Anglican Catholic convent, and studied the Bible & Theology as one of the required subjects every year.
This was back in the late 50s/early 60s.
We attended chapel every day, and much lengthier services several times a week, and on every religious holiday, including some you have never heard of.
I learned a lot there. Maybe more than most Christians walking around today, who are easily led astray, and this includes the “modern”Episcopal church, where I attended regularly when at home.
I now no longer attend that denomination, for obvious reasons.
Maybe Trump would have been better served if he said TRUMP 3:16 SAYS I JUST WHOPPED YOUR A$$.
Yeah, Jerry had “glowing” things to say about Romney a month after his statement that queers should be able to adopt children.
Falwell may not know about Trump’s interviews with Howard Stern where he discussed premature ejaculation, celebrity sex tapes, and his wife’s bathroom habits. Or he may know and not care.
Either way, I have a set of principles that I won’t set aside, so why would you think anything Jerry said about Trump would influence me?
LOL yeah I know...
What’s really interesting and why is no one talking about it is that CNN, or whoever was doing the dem debate last night, shut it down abruptly seven minutes early.
There was no explanation.
Maybe someone told them nobody was watching.
That is why EVERY Christian should read "The Screwtape Letters." I constantly witness Christians committing repugnant sins in blissful ignorance, because "it ain't lying, cheatin', or stealing,'"
I'm with you.
I'm NOT looking for an ALL-PURPOSE leader who has been ordained.
America needs LEADERSHIP.. the kind that "kicks a$$ and takes names."
You moron, when did I EVER claim to be a Christian like Trump has? NEVER!!
Nice try. By the way, is trump paying you for slinking around in conservative sites?
But he can recite the muzzy morning prayers without an American accent and knows the secret handshake of pointing his finger. Praise Allah! Look at the deals he’s giving his ISIL brothers. That’s all that matters.
You are the "Christians" who snicker to yourselves when a stranger comes to your church service dressed in less-than-desirable attire because that's all they have in their closet. Then you remember that snickering at other people is not the "Christian" thing to do, so you rush over and shake the stranger's hand and greet him to show all your fellow brethren how holy you are. Then when you walk off you wrinkle your nose and snicker again because the stranger doesn't own deodorant.
Do a soul check, folks. Maybe you should be praying for other people instead of making fun of their lack of knowledge (in your mind) of how to "properly" pronounce Bible verses. Really?!
Go down a list and tell you?
No, I don’t claim to be a scholar of presidential history.
I would imagine George Washington and Adams did. I believe Reagan had a sincere faith. I think there was more to Lincoln than met the eye.
But other than that I won’t go any farther, since I tend to believe you are probably trying to be a confrontational smart Aleck as opposed to asking out of curiosity.
TDS. It’s not rational.
Holy Canarsie, I can hardly belive what people are saying here. What difference does it make if he says 2 Corinthians or Second Corinthians? The original greek text was neither they just took two letters Rabbi Shaul or Tarsus ( who we call Paul of Tarsus) and stuck numbers on them. The original Greek had no numbers, no punctuation it was one continuious run on letter.
The fact is Donald said LIBERTY was what the Bible was about. Liberty was the name of the University. And LIBERTY, especially religious liberty is what’s at stake in this election.
Donald is not going away. So get used to it you Trump haters.
Freegards
LEX ( retired preacher so not a Biblical dunce)
The bottom line is, Will Trump preserve our religious liberty? Who cares if he’s even an atheist if he does that?
