Donald Trump, speaking to a religious crowd at Virginia's Liberty University on Monday, turned to scripture.
"We're going to protect Christianity. I can say that. I don't have to be politically correct," he said. "Two Corinthians, 3:17, that's the whole ballgame ... is that the one you like?"

Oh yeah... Trump is just like Constantine....
Lol - I’m listening to Rush. He is on this now and just said Corinthians 2, 3:17. He didn’t realize it was Second Corinthians 2, Verse 17.
FWIW, I have referred to the books as 2 Corinthians, 2 John, 2 Peter, etc. rather than “second” from time to time.
Not at all. I have "defended" Trump, even this morning. (I said it's ridiculous the U.K. would ban him) I said it was completely false when Hillary blamed him for the Charleston shooting. Or once when someone said he was anti-Semitic. And a few other instances. I just say about him what the facts warrant.
Why do you and others say that all criticism of him should be forbidden. It's like he's a God and you believe he should be exempt from any truth or criticism. Why is that justified?
That is now something that adults want Trump disqualified for.
I don't think anyone is saying he should be disqualified for this. They are making fun of him, just like we did with Clinton and Obama when they pretended to be more religious than they were.
Look, Reagan wasn't super-religious by anyone's definition, but he won Evangelical votes, by being respectful, but not by pretending to be something he wasn't.
A few weeks ago in Iowa, Trump refereed to "my Evangelical faith." Isn't that silly. Everyone who knows him knows he hasn't been anything close to Evangelical in his life. When politicians do that, it's silly.
This is EVIL.
Tell me what i said above that's evil.
Most Bibles I have seen call it the Second Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians. It follows the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians.
There is no Third Corinthians, though.
My old fingers missed the “T” and hit the “Y” ...
I have often used One Corinthians or Two Corinthians with the hand signal indicating 1 or 2 when teaching Sunday School which I did for many years.
It’s Blasphemy to even suggest that it is possible for mortal Man to establish God’s Kingdom on Earth. God doesn’t care about governments, he cares about individuals.
Trump doesn’t use a teleprompter.
BOOM!
I have been criticized on this forum for my criticisms of Cruz, too. Going back to before Trump entered. I still say I am not happy with Cruz. I don't trust any Republican on immigration for example. But at least Cruz is inside a Venn diagram of candidates a conservative might support. Certain other candidates are way outside of that. I don't endorse Cruz, I haven't endorsed anyone. But I will say what is good or bad about Cruz, just like the other candidates.
Why do we have to act like a lefty college professor and band all speech about Trump that isn't glowing? How is that a conservative value?
That wouldn’t be a very good campaign strategy, would it?
As for primary season at FR, it ain’t pretty. Ain’t never gonna be pretty. Snowflakes and those with weak stomachs or thin skin should watch from the sidelines.
And you did not get a quizzical look? Even a raised eyebrow?
As they say in politics, “If you want a friend, get a dog.”
I am not sure I agree. It’s one thing to be an entertainer, it’s another thing to win over voters. Kim Kardashian gets a lot of hits, but that doesn’t mean she should be president. I am personally not a fan of Reality TV, and I don’t think that mentality is a good thing for our country, even in the event a bunch of people vote for it.
That's NOT "perfection."
That's cultic behavior!
“A few weeks ago in Iowa, Trump refereed to “my Evangelical faith.” Isn’t that silly”
Well when compared to “my Muslim faith” it sounds pretty good. :-)
Catching up here. Has he been asked about it?
Then he should quit acting like he is a Christian.

Yeah like giving away his money to people who need his help. Like standing up for the Vets who are promised the moon and discarded like so much garbage. Like helping “little people” get a leg up when all is going against them. Like fighting the government takeover that everybody yells about but does nothing to stop. Seems to me somebody said that you’re known by your actions, not your words. Wonder who that was.
Liberty U invites ALL presidential candidates to speak. Republican and democrat.
However, Jerry Falwell Jr. had very nice things to say about Donald Trump.
It seems he and his family have known Trump for years. He listed a lot of the nice things, he knows about, that Trump has done for people.
He reminded the audience that electing a president is not the same as hiring a pastor or Sunday school teacher. He said. “We did that once” referring to Carter.
He also mentioned the sacrifices Trump was making in order to run to “Make America Great Again”.
It was a wonderful, glowing introduction. You should try to catch a replay.
