Read the statute itself, read the entire history of U.S. naturalization statutes, read the precedents in Bellei and in Minor, read the dicta in Ark, the exemplar case of Churchill, all of which show that he is a citizen by statute, i.e. a naturalized citizen, and not eligible to be President.

Secondly, just when do you fantasize that ed Cruz campaigned for Obozo. Trump is a careerist self-promotion artist and how conservative HE is depends on HIS own financial interests. If you disagree, then explain the conservatism of his $50,000 donation to Mitch McConnell's Senate re-nomination in 2014. Isn't Mitchie the king of all special interests in the Senate? How about the large donation to that renowned conservative: Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, Obozo's original Chief of Staff.

Does the fact that Ted Cruz is sincerely religious bothering you? It makes him more trustworthy to actual pro-lifers and other social conservatives but maybe that makes you uncomfortable.
Before blathering on without an issue arrow in your quiver, be sure to specifically cite any instance of Ted Cruz "campaign(ing) for Barack Obama."

Therefor he is a natural born citizen. He inherited his mothers citizenship at birth. The same as anyone else who has a American citizen as a parent.
Naturalization statutes can require any process or none, any retention requirements or none, include certain classes of persons or exclude them.
Congressional grants are naturalization.

I’m not a Trump supporter and would never vote for the guy. But long ago, I have been skeptical of Cruz’z NBC qualifications. If you want, I can indicate proof by referring to comments I had made long before Trump entered the arena. Many here on FR legitimately question Cruz in this regard. I actually think Cruz may be the best of those still left in the race but if he is not qualified, it is a moot point.
Donald Trump (and Rick Santorum, in this case) are merely those brave enough to raise the issue because it truly is not settled.
I suggest you are much too thin skinned if you interpret any challenge against your candidate as a “liberal” ideology. Although this seems to be typical of FR posters these days. Personally, I expect this response more from Trump supporters...

What happens if Senator Cruz wins the nomination and then loses a NBC court challenge? (Is the answer different after the election). My understanding is that the party still won and we would still get a Republican president. Would it be the VP, or could the GOPe get its dream of president Yeb! Or something else altogether?
Natural born can only be pass on by citizen father...Harvard law schooled Cruz knows what the “ original intent” means... He is trying to exempt himself. Cruz’s father was not even an American citizen when Cruz was born in Canada.

The nomination? That only determines the partys candidate.
If it was determined he could not be President for any reason after the election the the VP would be President.
Unless you can point to a line in the constitution, a court case or legislation, you are just repeating your opinion.
Even a court case can be a stretc since a justice won’t always apply it how you think it should be applied.

After nomination-before-general: Party names a replacement, generally party leaders in a closed room meeting. New person's name is on the ballot, if there is enough time.
After the general, but before the electoral votes are transmitted to Congress: Party chooses a substitute, electors transmit ballots with substitute's name to Congress
After Congress chooses a president-elect, but before inauguration: Election goes to the House. I have no clue if the party can toss in a new name at this point, I think not. 20th amendment says VP-elect gets the post. 3 USC says what to do if neither qualifies

Anything happening before electoral ballots are transmitted to Congress is an opening for Jeb. After the ballots are transmitted to Congress, the choices are, I think, limited to the names on the electoral ballots, and 3 USC.
Point of reference, if you are old enough, is Agnew resigns, Nixon names Ford, Nixon resigns, Ford is unelected president. After inauguration, that's how it goes.
I think GOPe planned all along to take Cruz out at the convention, and use his delegates for Jeb or Rubio or some other establishment hack. No court case needed, the GOP has the authority, on its own, to disqualify Cruz.

I trust Cruz on the babies and I don't trust Trump who was supporting partial birth abortion when I was tying up prosecutors in court in defense of pro-lifers. I may have to vote for Trump if he is nominated but he has a long way to go to gain my trust on a wide variety of bedrock conservative causes. Conservatism is a LOT MORE than just a wall. I do trust him on the gun issues.
Conservatism is a magnificent tapestry ajnd an unexplored location for Trump.
One more thing: I have been a state chairman of Young Americans for Freedom, American Conservative Union, Young Republicans, College Republicans, a major participant in two campaigns, one (1971) successful and one (1991) not successful to resist imposition of a state income tax in Connecticut, and along the way was a Republican nominee for Congress and, most of all, served as Connecticut chairman of Ronald Reagan's challenge to the spineless, feckless brain dead servant of Wall Street Gerald Ford in 1976. My support for Ted Cruz is based upon my lifetime and his of conservatism, all of conservatism, and not just the wall.
