Donald Trump was on Fox and Friends this morning siding with the GOP establishment, suggesting that everybody in Washington hates Ted Cruz and that he is very unpopular there and because of that he won't be able to get 'deals done' as president:

Cruz is an outsider. Of course he doesn’t get along in DC.
Trump has his way with them by scaring them. Even Hillary’s scared to say something against Trump.
So, lets see, we have Cruz, who is hated because he is standing up for the people and fighting back, sometimes alone, against the establishment and progressives alike.
And then we have all the other candidates, who are, or would be, willing to “compromise” and go along to get along. Pretty much, same ole, same ole.
Tell me why the pick is so hard, if you want things to change and government to get bent?
Trump has done his deal with the GOPE. A Trump presidency will be more of the same for us. 3 years into his presidency he’ll be explaining why no one is working on the wall... and why he hasn’t reversed a single obammy executive order, and why health insurance is even higher. And he’ll be telling us how great he is and how he’s leading in every poll for 2020. And the trumpsters here will eat it up.

Trump your logic there is so obvious, you can make deals, yeah we know you told us so often, but what we don't know is who benefits from your deals. They love you up there Donald, is that what your saying???? Oh my..GOPe?
In 2013, Trump was warning that Amnesty would create 11 million new Democrats. Now he wants to give them touch back amnesty and do just that.
I know a person who won’t associate with any coworkers in his job. He goes to his truck to eat lunch. He doesn’t talk much. But when it comes to serving his clients/customers, he’s the perfectionist in getting it done right and quickly. This man is the most honest man I know.. and the clients/customers know it and appreciate him.
This man doesn’t want to be around those who gossip, lie, and just cause trouble in the work place. It’s a waste of time.
Ya’ know.. there are still honest men who take this position. Cruz has been the pariah to that elite club .. but not to me.
Yep.... even Murdoch is now backing Trump. This election is and has always been about breaking the Washington cartel.. at least for me it has. Trump is not going to do that. He just wants to lead it.

I fail to see the problem with CRUZ being hated up there, and he is the FIRST one to dare to go BOLD.
Once ALL the others finally realized that "that Boldness to speak out" is what WE all have been waiting for, they climbed on Cruz's courage and claimed it for themselves.
Donald hates Political correctness does he??? Why then did he play the NY "Victim Card" in the debate???
Trump plays the level of ‘touchback’ close to the vest, but his son thinks it will be massive.
If Cruz can’t resolve natural-born status, will Rubio become the Anti-Jeb / Anti-Trump?

No other issue matters.
The problem is Cruz will not be able to get a thing passed. In fact, I could see the Congress going into a complete stand down for his term or terms. Of course some would love that but in reality it would not be good. He would be obstructed more then Obama could even dream of. It would be legendary. Cruz would be a one-term President at best. He does not have the Ronald Reagan personality at all. Of course this is all moot since he will not be President anyway.
I have been for either, but this just swayed me.

The only hope we have for solving illegal immigration in any meaningful way is Ted Cruz’s policy of not letting them back in.
Has Trump been a Democrat plant all along? His policy of touch back amnesty creates millions of new Democrat voters ensuring Democrat power for generations.

And the problem is...? Everything Congress and the administration have done for years has been so good for the United States and the American people. What is it you would like to see passed? More bloated authorization bills that increase the federal debt by several trillion dollars? More defense cuts? More gun control? More regulations and laws that make criminals out of more American citizens? More funding for refugee resettlement? I could go on...
