In his own words: Trump (as a NYer) on Gays and Partial Birth Abortion

In is own words: Trump on his admiration for Hillary and Bill Clinton

Trump is telling us what we want to hear, just like Romney did.

I don’t trust either of them.

Ask Cruz if he supports abortion bans at the federal level.

Ask Cruz if he supports gay marriage bans at the federal level.

Socons were fooled into supporting a Rand Paul clone.

What does it matter (i.e., Tag Line)? The other will simply flood the country with newly-legalized Democrats and abortion will be the law of the land, WITHOUT RECOURSE.

With Trump clearing them out, we get to fight another day.

[ The more likely result of a Trump nomination, of course, would be a Clinton presidency ]

No. No, it wouldn’t.

Weakly standard.

What you all should do, is become sainted. Beyond all human repair or neediness.

Then, we could have a conversation.

How’s that sound?

--- When the Daily Caller's Jamie Weinstein asked Trump if he would have become pro-life if that child had been a loser instead of a "total superstar," Trump replied: "Probably not, but I've never thought of it. I would say no but in this case it was an easy one because he's such an outstanding person."

That Trump could go from supporting third-trimester abortion--something indistinguishable from infanticide, something that only 14 percent of Americans think should be legal--to becoming pro-life because of that one experience is a bit hard to believe. If it's true, the story still indicates at the very least that Trump is not capable of serious moral reasoning.---

When I learned that Obama was the only legislator to oppose the partial birth abortion ban, I knew all I needed to know.

Yesterday I wrote a lengthy post, saying that Trump doesn't have a firm grasp on good and evil...

You either get this or you don't. But this is a very, very bad sign.

I think it’s a reasonable question. We don’t know what Trump will do if he is elected. We don’t know what any candidate will do if he/she is elected. We know only what they say they will do.

The gap between campaign rhetoric and actual performance in office is often very wide.

The only issue for me is stopping immigration - ALL immigration.

Second fro me is supreme court justices’ appointments.

Nothing else matters.

I would like to know more what kind of justices Trump would appoint to the SC. Electing a republican is no guarantee of getting a conservative, strict constitutionalist on the court.

I am a firm believer that as one ages they become more wiser and conservative on life issues. It’s not always the case, but more so than not. I think at 70 years this explains Trump’s evolution.

what kind of Supreme Court justices would he appoint?

He can appoint Mickey Mouse but it has to be approved by the Senate.........

Abortion and Presidents has been a non-issue since RvW and will forever remain so.......

The MSM always brings up the issue during election years in order to cause dissension within the republican party. Not surprising they never bring up abortion and democrats even tho there are a great number of democrats who are pro-life.....

In 1999 I was pro-abortion.

By the Grace of God & through the Teachings of the Catholic Church I realized the wrongness of abortion.

People do change their view.

Peace :)

If he were elected and was a pro abortion president you can bet his fan club would blame someone else.

ENOUGH!! The opposing camps in this primary are like third grade kids arguing over whose dad is tougher. Simple solutions always work the best. Simple solution to the arguing is:
1. Make a list of “absolute” issues (end illegal immigration, anti-abortion, reduce size of government, lower taxes, etc.)
2. Draw up a legally binding contract, WITH NO WEASELING OUT, for the Presidential candidates.
3. Whoever wont sign is unworthy of our vote.
4. If they fail to carry out their pledge, it constitutes “high crimes and misdemeanors” and subject to impeachment.
5. If Congress will not cooperate, AFTER BEING PRESENTED WITH BILLS, they lose our vote in next election.

Yes, we all know Trump was moderate to liberal a few years ago. He couldn’t have survived in Manhattan without being that. He is now an unblinking, unrepentant, firebrand for the causes that are important however. The list is as follows...

1. Immigration
2. Immigration
3. Immigration

“...The attack was more than a bit hypocritical because Trump himself was “very” pro-abortion not so long ago. In 1999....”

I didn’t need to read further than this. When you define “not so long ago” as seventeen years, nothing you say could possibly have any meaning.

I see the daily anti-Trump propaganda has started early today. Let’s see how many seminar Cruz-z-zer’s post today! :-)
