A senior Iranian military commander in charge of the countrys Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that the 10 U.S. sailors who were recently captured and subsequently released by the Islamic Republic 'started crying after [their] arrest,' according to Persian language comments made during military celebrations this weekend.
Hossein Salami, deputy commander of the IRGC, which is responsible for boarding the U.S. ships and arresting the sailors, claimed in recent remarks, the 'American sailors started crying after arrest, but the kindness of our Guard made them feel calm.'
Hossein went on to brag that the incident provides definitive evidence of the Iranian militarys supremacy in the region.
'Since the end of the Second World War, no country has been able to arrest American military personnel,' the commander said, according to an independent translation of his Persian-language remarks made Friday during a 'martyrs commemoration ceremony' in Isfahan.
Since the capture and release of the U.S. sailors this week, critics of the Obama administrations handling of the situation have expressed embarrassment at State Departments move to profusely thank Iran, despite its release of photos depicting the sailors on their knees with their hands held over their heads.
Iranian state television additionally published video purporting to show one of the detained soldiers apologizing to Iran.
Meanwhile, during Friday prayers in Iran, a commander of the IRGC unit that detained the U.S. boats and claimed that the American military cowered when faced down by Iranian troops.
'I saw the weakness, cowardice, and fear of American soldiers myself. Despite having all of the weapons and equipment, they surrendered themselves with the first action of the guardians of Islam,' Ahmad Dolabi, an IRGC commander, said in Persian-language remarks at a prayer service in Irans Bushehr providence.
'American forces receive the best training and have the most advanced weapons in the world,' he added. 'But they did not have the power to confront the Guard due to weakness of faith and belief.'
Dolabi emphasized that the Obama administration formally apologized over the incident, a claim that senior White House official continue to dispute.
'We gave all of the weapons and equipment to American forces according to an Islamic manner. They formally apologized to the Islamic Republic' Dolabi said. 'Be certain that with the blood of martyrs, the revolution advances. No one can inflict the smallest insult upon our Islamic country.'
I don’t believe they cried. Nonsense.
I cry, too, when I think how our leaders have betrayed our service men and women, and the country.
King “o”s new navy. Cry me a river, man up girls!!
Good grief!
“the “American sailors started crying after arrest, but the kindness of our Guard made them feel calm”.”
And such a propaganda coup was not though worthy to catch on video? How sensitive of the Iranians. Without video, didn’t happen. Besides, when the Lt was apologizing later, he seemed almost cheerful. Which was odd in its own way.
if there had been tears I am sure Iran would of filmed it and released it.
Those were tears of joy that they were being rescued by America's friends.
Am I right, John Q'erry? Up high!
Barack HOSSEIN Obongo???????????????
That’s my thinking too. No way THAT wouldn’t have been on film.
Maybe, like Milos on Seinfeld, the Iranians simply wanted to humiliate us publicly for “hand,” and our government gave them that opportunity for something that they wanted.
They wanted these photos and the ability to say that our military are babies and weak.
In the episode, Milos begs Seinfeld to let him win at tennis, and Seinfeld agrees, but during the game Milos is constantly shouting, “Look how that baby plays! Maybe he needs time to change his diapers!” Etc until finally Jerry beats his pants off.
We are serfs and our government is no longer of, for, or by the People and there is nothing you can tell me to prove that wrong.
I remember seeing, a few years back, a British sailor crying like a baby, when caught by Iranians.
Wouldn’t you cry too, knowing that BHO is your Commander in Chief?
Our presidents cry, speaker of the house sobbed all over himself repeatedly, women in the military,....of course they cried, sobbed, probably signed confessions of previous sexual relationships and converted to islam.
Turn it over in your mind:
TWO boats broke down, huh. Not one, but TWO. At the same time.
AND:
ALL their GPS gear malfunctioned.
AND:
ALL their commo gear was on the fritz.
What are the chances of that, huh?
Like one in a TRILLION..? LESS..!
Which means that IT IS ALL LIES.
Our guys were where they were supposed to be, were commanded to not shoot back after getting stoped and boarded, then ordered to shut-up about it all, afterwards.
This whole thing was orchestrated from the very top.
We need to have a seal team go in and kidnap this jerk. He’ll probably start crying right after he fills his pants.
